Sitting atop a hill with panoramic views of the sea and Fifla islet is the Ħaġar Qim temple, built between 3600 – 3200 BC during the Ġgantija phase. A mere 500m down the hill, there’s another impressive temple found atop South cliffs (courtesy of Heritage Malta). The excursion continues at the Blue Grotto, a natural marvel brimming with diverse plants, wildlife and is a favoured spot for divers. Lastly, the tour ends in Marsaxlokk, a picturesque hamlet highlighted by vividly painted boats, hardworking fishermen, and a bustling open-air market.
