Additional Information

Embark on a sensory journey through the picturesque Sonoma wine country on a guided cycling trip, stopping at local vineyards. Step out of the car, lower the pace, and discover the wine-producing region from a fresh viewpoint - on a bike! Join a small group led by an informed, local guide who will enrich your knowledge of the grape-to-glass transformation. The guided teams ride at a leisurely speed, covering just 3 to 5 miles between visits to local vineyards for wine sampling. The tour includes visits to two wineries, a tempting picnic lunch, and an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour and tasting at Vella Cheese factory (except on Sundays).

  • Our tour is a Wine Country tour with stops for tastings. We encourage all guests to be 21 and over, but can accommodate guests 14 and up with the understanding they will be along for a winery bike tour without the ability to taste. Guides are not responsible for entertaining teens/young adults while parents are tasting.
  • Please note: This is a wine-focused tour that includes visiting two wineries. Although wine tasting fees are not included upfront, there is an expectation that guests signing up for this tour will be participating in tastings. This tour is NOT a good choice for guests with limited interest in wine tasting.

A fun experience! - I've gone on lots of bike tours but this was by far one of the best! Bruce, the tour leader, was thoughtful and thorough. I'm in town for a wedding so had to leave early but still feel I got my money's worth. Our lunch stop was Honrama Cellars. The wine was excellent (I bought a case and had it mailed home) and the tour of the winery and its history was fascinating. I highly recommend Sonoma Valley Bike Tours to anyone who is in the area and want a safe, fun, experience.

New to Sonoma Wineries - Really “off the beaten path” and informative ! Emily really took the time to explain the process and the history of the wineries we visited.

Fantastic afternoon in Sonoma tasting cheese and wine - Fantastic way to spend an afternoon! Hunt is an awesome tour guide. Had a great time cruising around the bike paths on the e-bike. The stops at Vella cheese and winery were both great! Would definitely do this again with coworkers or friends!

Outstanding tour! - We booked a last minute cycling trip with our family and we had 16 family members in our group. Hunt is an outstanding tour guide. The Honrama vineyard and Vella cheese factory were highlights. Every aspect of our trip exceeded expectations. Thank you!

Sonoma E-Ride Bike Tour, Drink Eat & be Merry while taking in the beautfiful sites - What a great way to experience the back roads of the Sonoma Valleys. With being an avid ebike enthusiast for vacationing to see sites off the beaten path, this is the way to go. The valleys were stunning, and the houses held so much character. We visited 2 vinyards, the first being Honrama, definetly a modern take here, this is where we had our lunch at. Lunch consisted of a selection of sandwich choices to pick from before departing on our adventure. They were very good sandwiches with chips, cookies and fruit. The Honrama flight was excellent! Nice land to tour and our group didnt hold back on questions, which made it even more educational. Our 2nd stop was at Buenavisa, another beautiful piece of property. The flight was good, but I did prefer the 1st place better. The grounds represented old world charm & culture, a completely different vibe from the first place. But it was a must see for the history and the beauty it carried. Our 3rd stop was at a cheese making establishment where we were able to taste the cheeses and purchase what we enjoyed. This was a nice stop along the way and the cheeses were excellent! We where just then missing the wine...LOL The time did go by very fast. If you are not a biker this is not for you. There where times some did have problems with the e part of the bike not kicking in and they lagged behind, but they did make their way up to us. The roads are not hilly or steep, though some where a bit bumpy. For the most part they are easy to ride, you just have distance to contend with. Our tour guide was very good. He made sure we all were within his site while riding. Was very informative and always kept the conversation moving with the history of where we may have been at during the tour. Do have breakfast or have something in your stomach before you start out. When you arrive to your first visit, you start your flight right away, then go on a tour of the facility and then eat lunch. You may or will get a bit tipsy while you are walking on the tour if you have not eaten anything. I would have prefered to eat in sections, my sandwich, during my first flight, taken the tour, and then came back to finish the fruit, cookies and my last flight. That is just me though... This was a great adventure and would highly recommend adding this to your list of things to do in wine country!!

Sonoma Magic with Mike! - Mike’s tours are amazing. We covered brief history of the area, history of wine in Sonoma, walked one of the oldest vineyards in CA ….. and enjoyed tastings of wine and cheese unrivaled. Don’t over spend. Don’t agree to purchase requirements. Don’t miss the details on Mike’s tour. His Sonoma is charming, truly magical and approachable.
