Highlights
  • Nasca Lines - After picking you up, we will go to Nazca city to flight around the famous and enigmatic Nazca Lines. They are a group of very large geoglyphs hand formed/scratched out to make very strong depressions or shallow dirt removals in the dark soil of the Nazca Desert to reveal the very white under layer of rock or clay. These were carved out sometime between 200 AD and possibly 600 AD. There is no written record of the exact dates, but these seem to be a possible time frame. There is no a definitive reason for the carvings; however, numerous theories have been advanced: sculptures to be seen from the surrounding mountains, a big work project to worship they ancestors, or possibly a kind of message for their god so as to have water since the area is dry and it almost does not rain. You will watch the most representative figures such as the hummingbird, spider, monkey, geometrical forms and other mysterious forms. \n\nNote: if you don’t like long distance trips, consider another option.

What an amazing company - So, to be honest I didn’t get to enjoy the tour I booked due to my flight being canceled. I was passed the 24 hour cancelation time and just wanted to cry having to miss the amazing tour as well as loosing the money. I emailed the tour explaining my situation and they were just so easy to deal with. They didn’t have to refund me as per policy I was too late to cancel, but they did anyway, which made my bad travel experience less bad. So I can’t review the tour itself, but judging by the character of this company, anything they do is awesome. Thank you again!!!

Life-Changing Experience Seeing the Nazca Lines - This tour was an incredible experience and one that everyone MUST do when visiting Peru! Jonathan, our tour guide, was extremely knowledgable and as kind as could be. Additionally, Jonathan is fluent in both Spanish and English in case you are not a native Spanish speaker. Jonathan shared a wealth of information about the Nazca Lines, the Nazca and Paracas civilizations, and answered any questions we had. While it was a long day (10 hours driving to and from Lima roundtrip), we were picked up in a very comfortable SUV and stopped for snacks and bathroom breaks along the way. Jonathan also took us to a local restaurant in Nazca that had amazing, fresh food. Once you are on the plane seeing the 2,000 year old Nazca Lines the long drive is completely worth it! I should also note that I am a nervous flyer, so was a bit hesitant to board a 6-person plane but the pilots were extremely reassuring and calmed any nerves I had. The last stop on our day-long trip was the Huacachina Oasis. We drove in a dune buggy across massive sand dunes to watch the sunset. We also sand boarded! It was a beautiful, fun experience that we'll remember forever. Overall it was an incredible day that I think everyone should experience while they're visiting Peru!

Poor Planning - Well it was an interesting day. We were picked up from our hotel at 4:00am and returned at 11:00pm. This was not totally unexpected. However, the planning of this tour was very poor. Let me separate the positives from the negative. Positives: - our guide, Alexandria was very knowledgeable and friendly. - The Nazca lines and Huachima didn’t disappoint. They were both fantastic! Negatives: - although we know that food was not included, our first food stop came at 3:30pm. That’s almost 12 hours after we left the hotel. We were extremely hungry - there was no breakfast or dinner stop…unacceptable when you are driving upwards of 12 hours - We had 2 drivers. Neither driver drove over 75km/hour. As you can imagine, when you are driving 450km one way…this makes for a REALLY slow drive. Very frustrating. - Had our drivers driven the speed limit we could have enjoyed some more time in Huacachima. all in all…the sites were great but the organization of this tour was poor.
