Departure in the morning from Marrakech on a private day trip to the Ourika Valley, which is located in the High Atlas mountains of Morocco. It is located about sixty kilometers from Marrakech in the foothills of the High Atlas. Ourika Valley is one of the best and most tourist destinations for Moroccan families, couples and tourists. Although it is close to the population of Marrakech, it is also one of the most virgin valleys in Morocco. The valley is a labyrinth of lush greens inside the salt mine, one of the most beautiful and best preserved valleys in Morocco. The region is undoubtedly the perfect destination for people looking for Moroccan adventure, discovery, relaxation and meditation. Through its river, which starts from the High Atlas mountains and descends towards Marrakech, it is also where you will visit the Berber women who extract argan oil (the unique Moroccan oil).

Ourika Valley is much more than a tourist place, as it houses a number of plant species and the rare barbary macaques. This day trip is ideal for those who wish to see the beautiful splendor with the trekking to the summit. The walk starts from a Berber village called “Setti fadma”, where you will start walking with a professional local guide for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to go and return from the waterfall area. At this crossing there are 7 waterfalls, which provide a bright place to take photos. After returning, you could have a drink by the river and then enjoy a typical lunch at a local Berber family home, the atmosphere of Ourika and its incredible unique decoration will impress you, then returning to Marrakech at approximately 5pm.

Trip fun and tasty - I travel to Marrakesh with my friends, we are five guys and this tour guide took us everywhere. He have knowledge about the culture and he took us to the most unique places in Morocco. We felt very safe and protected with him. He is the best tour guide ever. That was the most memorable trip I’ve ever remember and I hope to see him again soon.

Amazing guide and a very special day - Thanks Adbul for an amazing day in the Berber country. We began the day with a visit to an authentic Berber market (no tourists, genuine locals). We then visited an argan oil cooperative run by local women who had been through divorce. A visit to a local Berber carpet shop was an absolute highlight. We also went to a real Berber house and enjoyed a quick tour followed by breakfast! Abdul even had a small gift for us at this point. He was a great guide and looked after us even buying us fruit and bread along the way! He made it a really special day and we had a great time. Thank you!

Highly recommended!!! - Had a wonderful day with my family and Abdul Rahman! Not only were all of the activities really interesting, fun and varied, but Abdul Rahman was also a pleasure to have as a tour guide. 👍 Our pit stops clay making, visiting rugtopia, an argan oil cooperative and a traditional Berber home made the journey up to the Berber village very special and kept up well fed and full of tea. 😀 The village was beautiful and our walk around the mountain (with a local mountain guide - Mohamed) to see the waterfalls and snow topped peaks (from afar) was one of my favourite parts of our holiday. After we came down we got to have food right next to the river! On our journey back we rode camels (dromedaries). Abdul Latif was hilarious and a master phone photographer. He then treated us to some tea and biscuits. The day was fantastic, but Abdul Rahman’s friendliness and generosity (thank you for the gifts) made it all the better! Oh, and he arrived at our Riad early to pick us up.👌 100% recommend even if you are here only for a short stay like us!

10/10 would definitely recommend! - Abdule was our tour guide during our penultimate day in Marrakesh. He picked us up promptly from our hotel and was very informative throughout the tour. He was patient with us and allowed us to take our time while exploring. We also travelled with a baby, so he provided a car seat - so if you’re travelling with a baby/young child there’s no need to worry! We took part in some pottery, visited a shop with traditional Moroccan carpets and a female-led argan oil store while exploring the Atlas mountains. Finally, we went for a camel ride before he drove us back to our hotel. For Abdule’s welcoming nature and his great sense of humour, I would definitely recommend his services. You will get a trSince coming back to London, I’ve already recommended him to 3 friends! Our tour was really the highlight of my trip.

Highlight of my Marrakech trip - Our day spent with Abdule was honestly the highlight of our holiday to Marrakech. Charming, helpful and with a good sense of humour, Abdule really went out of his way to ensure that everything ran smoothly for us - including bringing a car seat for my baby boy. It was such a relief knowing that all the excursions and visits were included in his cost which meant that we were happy to tip the people as little or as much we wished, knowing that they were already being paid. He had great connections with the different sites and his warm hospitality was definitely infectious - we were gifted lunch, snacks and gifts by different hosts along the way. He picked us up at 9am from our hotel (which is quite far from the city centre) and we had a fun car trip to the Ourika valley, learning some interesting facts about the history of Morocco and Berber traditions. We visited: talented handcrafters of claywares, tagines and traditional rugs; a women's argan oil cooperative; we hiked 30mins up the Atlas mountains to see the waterfalls and finished the day with camel riding (all done with a baby!). The different hosts throughout the day were extremely hospitable and we learnt so much from them. We're Muslim and went on a Friday so I asked Abdule about Friday prayers - he took us to a small mosque in the Atlas Mountains for Salatul Jummuah which was nice. This was my second trip to Marrakech and if I'm blessed to go again I would definitely love to do another tour with Abdule! I can't recommend him enough, you'll have a great time!
