Highlights
  • Imjingak Pyeonghoa-Nuri Park - Begin your journey at Imjingak, a park situated on the Imjin River’s edge, where displays of military equipment and relics from the Korean War are present. Continue to the Freedom Bridge, which nearly 13,000 Korean prisoners of war traversed to reclaim their liberty. While walking, your guide will impart the poignant history and importance of this bridge.
  • The Third Tunnel - Return to the vehicle and make your way to the Third Infiltration Tunnel, found under the border between North and South Korea. Discover the intended purpose of these tunnels, which are suspected to have been designed by North Korea as a pathway for military invasion. Observe the South Korean defenses, including concrete blockades that seal off the actual Military Demarcation Line.
  • Dora Observatory - The tour will then take you to the Dora Observatory, where you can peer into North Korea using telescopes. Your guide will provide commentary on the way of life across the border as you view the hamlet of Kijongdong.
  • Dorasan Station - Continue to Dorasan Station, a site of historical and symbolic significance that represents the separation and potential for exchange between the northern and southern territories.
  • Insadong - Opt for the full-day excursion to enjoy a meal and then visit the Insadong Antique Market, historically the premier marketplace for antiques and art in Korea. Must do! - We loved our guide Miel. She was very knowledgeable about the history and current situation, and had a lively personality. The tour is a must do to experience an area unique to the world and a zone we hope can be free to move across.

Good, informative time - We were lucky the weather was very good, so we had a clear view of far away areas from high points. Yoon was a wonderful tour guide. She was very kind, friendly, funny and easy to listen to. She went above and beyond by giving extra information and offering to take photos for the guests.

DMZ visit - Had a great day. Not many people get to see North Korea. Our tour guide Laura was wonderful and everything run like clockwork. Our hotel pickup was on time and I carnt express how impressed I am with Viator. The only thing that surprised me was how commercialised the site was with stores and takeaways but still was an impressive place.

A good tour - I loved the view point and looking theough the binoculars, though very busy. The guide spoke alot about the history and was very informative, allowing us to understand how things came to be. She made time to engage with me personally and ensure questions were answered. The tour when booking allows a pick up from hotel option. This was NOT the case. They left it till 9pm the night before to tell me that I needed to travel 45mins by bus or tram. To a collection point. If changing pick up details, please inform people sooner. I enquired 2 days before incase, If I had gone to bed I would of missed the tour.
