- SSR Botanic Garden - Pamplemousses Botanical Garden, is a popular tourist attraction in Pamplemousses, near Port Louis, Mauritius, and the oldest botanical garden in the Southern Hemisphere. Famous for its long pond of giant water lilies (Victoria amazonica), the garden was first constructed by Pierre Poivre (1719

In addition to its giant waterlilies, the garden also features spices, ebonies, sugar canes, and 85 varieties of palms from Central America, Asia, Africa and the islands around the Indian Ocean. Great time in Mauritius - There were 4 of us wanting have a day tour and it was fantastic! Our driver and guide, Vikash was wonderful! He listened to all we wanted to do in a limited time frame, and guided us to the locales that would fit into our parameters. We saw so much, and he was so patient and kind, it made our whole experience very enjoyable. It was a great day.

Fantastic scenery and culture - What a fantastic day to the northern part of the island. Our driver Robin was so freindly and informative and went out his way to answer questions and had such a passion for the island.

One day in Mauritius. This tour is all you need đź‘Źđź‘Ź - If you are in Mauritius for one day then this is the perfect tour for you
Rajin, our driver and guide, was all we could have wished for. Informative, interesting and interested. Had great local knowledge and knew the inside track when it came to the best ways round the town ,how to change money etc. Thoroughly recommend him.
The itinerary is well covered in other reviews. It was just right and the swim and long beach walk at the end of the day was just what we needed.
Back at the cruise boat just at the right time - stress free
Only disappointment was the lunch. We were shown a beautiful basket of fresh seafood but in reality what we were served was reheated. Worry not, we were here to see the island and this worked perfectly.

Great trip - Very friendly guide who could tell us about everything. He took our wishes into account, recommended places of interest to us, planned the tour individually for us and gave us valuable tips.
We had a great day and immediately booked the next tour (south) with him.

A full on and interesting day in Port Louis - We all thought this day tour was excellent value for money. Our driver Mike, navigated Port Louis traffic so brilliantly - took us everywhere, gave us time to explore and returned to collect us exactly when and where he had promised. Swimming at the most gorgeous beach was an unexpected surprise after such a busy day. Nothing felt rushed and we covered a lot of ground - walking downtown, climbing the citadel and through the lush botanical gardens. A really good mix of activities and a great day out. Highly recommended.

Good tour, great value, long day - We had a lovely day doing the North Tour and our driver was very patient. We visited Port Louis and the craft market (this was very expensive) and then went to visit the traditional market which has produce and items to sell. The stall owners were pushy but if you said no they didn't persist. We then went to the citadel with views of Port Louis on to the botanical gardens of pamplemouse where we wished we had paid for a guide. Then a stop for lunch at a lovely restaurant, the hostess was great and then a very quick trip to Grand Baie. It was a long drive back to our hotel in Flic en Flac.

Interesting but not as much to see as in the south west tours. - Very good tour guide and driver who was friendly and knowledgable. Highlights were the museum in Port Louis and Grand Baie in the north of the island.
