Great host, good food and lots of fun - We had a great evening with Karlson! We went to 3 different places where we tasted the three major cuisines of Malaysia. To a typical Malaysian food court, an Indian restaurant and a Chinese restaurant. We were more than full and learned all about the culture and cuisines. Highly recommended!

Perfect evening! - This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Malaysia! Our guides Charles and Carlson first took us to the local night market where we could taste several freshly made local snacks. We tasted delicious products we never would have chosen ourselves. And even our teenagers loved it! Our second stop was in Little India where we walked through the shopping street (no pressure to buy something) and tasted a few Indian dishes and drinks. Afterwards we visited Chinatown and practised our chopstick-skills. Carlson and Charles made it a wonderful evening with lots of fun, great pictures and even a TikTok dance with the kids. Great memories!! Thank you, guys!

A delicious evening - This tour was a highlight for us! Karlson was a great guide who expertly ordered dishes in 3 different locations so we could get a real taste of Malay, Indian and Chinese cuisine. There was more than enough food, and it was all delicious! The night was such a great way to get familiar with different areas of Kuala Lumpur, which was a nice bonus. We also stopped to try some sweets along the way which were also great. Would highly recommend!

Fun night out trying local food with Karlson - We were a group of 8 with 4 adults and 4 teenagers and had a great night out with Karlson. One member of our group had a number of allergies and Karlson was extremely careful and checked and planned all the locations prior to the tour commencing. We tried a number of different foods that we wouldn't have tried if we were travelling without a guide and were extremely full by the end of the tour. Karlson even took us for a spot of sightseeing. We would definitely recommend this tour company and if you get Karlson as your guide you will have a fantastic night out.

Amazing food and locations - Our time during the tour was the most memorable part of our trip to Malaysia! We truely did experience George Town like a local, and sampled so many delicious dishes that we would not have had the opportunity to try without our knowledgeable guide, Kevin. The food was incredible and varied. We also enjoyed sight seeing - a great way to spend a fun filled evening!

Fun evening - We had such a good time eating our way through Kuala Lumpur. Karlson was an excellent guide and took us to places outside of the city that we wouldn’t have known about. We tried Malay, Indian and Chinese dishes and they were all excellent. He also added on a few extra things when he found out that we liked Chinese buns and wanted to try durian. I’m so happy that we were able to eat like locals!

A real experience of KL - The guide Anna was excellent. Very knowledgeable on the food and local history and very perceptive of individual requirements. A great introduction to KL and its Malay, Chinese and Indian cuisine. You will visit places that you would otherwise never get to as a short stay visitor to KL and experience a bit of the ‘real’ local scene

Food plus new friend in KL - We had a great time with our “ new “ best friend Karlson. We started with Indian food, eating dishes we would never have tried , and they were just so yummy. Although we were soon very full we skipped the Chinese meal and just wandered around China town eating desserts. Karlson was happy to make any changes we wanted and was so knowledgeable. We then went on to the Malaysian meal, again another surprise of great food, which we really enjoyed. What a great night, and we got on so well laughing and joking from the moment we met till sadly the time we finnished, this was our first ever food tour, and we were so happy we took it, and also we really did feel like we made a new friend along the way.

Best hosting skills in KL - Karlson was an amazing host and we tasted some of the tastiest Hokkien noodles and Indian rotis. We loved the hospitality, great tour guide skills and getting the local experience of taking a peak into Malay foods.

Disappointed. Waste of time. Choose another tour - Nice guy but clueless and disorganized. Don’t waste your time Arrived 15 minutes late. Meeting point 30 minutes outside KL at deserted bus station. Indian stop not Brickfield as stated (centrally located and 5 minute drive from Petaling St) but near bus station. 30 minute drive back to Petaling st. Saw nothing of Brickfield Parks 3 blocks away. Walk down dark dirty alley to crowded copycat market single file to mediocre restaurant so no commentary from Carlson. Same route back to van so saw nothing different. Drive to Kampang Baru. Too dark to see the original wooden houses Walking on dark street past garbage and closed stalls since so late. Wanted us to walk back to van “ too much traffic”. Deserted street. We asked to bring van back which he did. Could have been so much more interesting tour. And an hour shorter due to wasted time driving time and repetitive walking on same route We have higher hopes for Singapore tour
