Great Way to Scope Out the City and Get to the Sights - This was a great tour! We did the two-day hop-on, hop-off and it worked great for us. The first morning we stayed on the bus for the whole 90-minute tour, then hopped off for lunch and got on again after to explore the area around the Betsy Ross House (Christ Church, Ben Franklin's Resting Place, Elfreth's Alley). Then we hopped on to get back to the area near our hotel. The second day, we hopped on near our hotel and took the bus to the Franklin Institute, spent the day there, and took the bus back to the Reading Terminal Market for a late afternoon snack. If we had it to do over, we should have done the three-day, and we could have gone to the Penitentiary and maybe the art museum. All of our guides and drivers were great, and everyone was really friendly, from the ticket sales person on up! Highly recommend!

Worth it - This was worth the price. I suggest you go around once, cause you can ride it all day. Once you’ve seen everything by bus, get off, walk around and hop on again.

Excellent way to see to the city. Very knowledgeable and accommodating tour guide and driver. - Excellent tour of the city. Knowledgeable and accommodating tour guide and driver. Gave us a 5min stop to take pics at Rocky statue. Can swap between City Sightseeing bus and Big Bus. Great value for money, and we got to see Philly when on a day trip from NYC.

A fabulous way to see the city - Excellent tour. A high recommendation to David who sold us our tickets and is so passionate and knowledgeable about the history of the city. We bought a two day ticket, did the full tour the first day and worked out from that what we specifically wanted to see on the second day. We also used the bus to get back to our hotel as one of the stops was conveniently close by. Also, part of the deal was that we were collected in a minibus by the lovely Denise from our hotel the second morning to take us to the beginning of the tour at the Bourse Building. We actually used the bus 3 times altogether over the two days and had a different tour guide each time. All were excellent and had their own commentary so we learnt different facts each time. However, a special shout out to guide, Matt, who was fantastic and could easily be a stand up comic!

Good intro to the city - A good way to get a brief overview of the city. Guide was friendly and humorous, but provided a ton of info very fast. Top level windows were scratched & sometimes made it tough to see.

The Tour Guide Matters - They Are Not Equally Qualified - We have been on bus tours in many countries including the US, and the first half of the tour in Philadelphia this week was the worst possible experience. We got off at one of the stops when we couldn't take it any longer and waited for another bus with another guide to come along. (The second guide, Sebastian, was knowledgeable and kept us engaged throughout the trip.) The first guide appeared to be impacted by a substance because they made no sense in anything they said, As we drove through one of the most historic streets in America with homes built in the 1700s and the first public hospital in America, our guide rambled about how horrible Belgian brick streets were and they should be covered in blacktop, their hair was a mess that day and proceeded to take off their hat to show us, New Jersey is an awful place and no one should ever go there, they were too hot and the bus company should do something about it, the Philly police ticketed cars for no reason, they were an expert gamer, and this stream of consciousness/babble continued non-stop. It appears that this guide was not certified and should never have been allowed to lead a group on this tour. The first part of the tour with the rambler would be rated TERRIBLE while the second part of the tour with Sebastian would be rated EXCELLENT. Kudos to the drivers of both buses who navigated through crowded narrow streets.

Could have been better - Nice trip. Not much to be seen at the drop off points. Being from Ireland it was so disappointing that there was no stop point or mention of the Irish r Scottish memorial from famine time. When we found it we remembered passing the bridge adjacent to the memorial but no mention by the tour guide. No stop at the liberty bell either.

Long waits for bus - When purchasing our tickets we were informed buses come every 30 minutes. After we had started our tour, we found out the buses were running over 45 minutes between buses, and the driver actually encouraged us not to get off st stops because of the long wait to get the next bus. Therefore, we didn't see everything we wanted to see as they were stopping the buses at 4pm. For the price we could have ubered or lyft to the sites we wanted to see quicker. And cheaper than the price of 2 tickets.

Bad experience - The tourists were hit by the tree’s branches and the tourist guide didn’t want to explain which stop to take to get to the place I was looking for.
