Going through the characteristics of each plant species and how the climate (and the soil type, season of the year, cultivation method) affects the quality of the plant, the amount of essential oil extracted and the aroma.\nIt’s an invitation to feel.\nThen I describe the work of our suppliers here on the ILHA, who cultivate and distill essential oils.\nIn this curatorship, I looked for producers who had an environmental concern,\nboth in preparing the land and growing plants, but also with the local biome.\nThroughout this conversation, we will smell and experience different essential oils and their aromatic stories.\nAt the end of the experience, you will be able to choose your essential oil,\nwithin the selection of Brazilian essential oils from the experience.

In homage to Brazil’s rich natural heritage, I’ve ventured to find niche growers across various localities of the nation, who nurture and derive essential oils, hydrosols, and other botanical components with reverence for the environment. These plants are emblematic of Brazil, imbued with distinct native scents that encapsulate the narratives of their indigenous lands and peoples.
Through this selective process, we offer essential oils originating from five unique ecosystems within Brazil, providing participants with an olfactory journey that showcases an array of fragrances emblematic of Brazil’s diverse topography.
To conclude the experience, each attendee has the liberty to select an essential oil from our assortment to carry home and savor its virtues.
