Beautiful and relaxing float up the Douro river - This was a perfect way to enjoy being on the Douro river. No motor noise, no loud music, no diesel fumes - just a quiet and peaceful journey up the river. Neither did we have to listen to an audio tape to tell us what we were seeing. We received a warm welcome from David and Fabiana when we arrived. David gave us some history of the vineyards and explained what we were seeing. The two tastes of wine were really good, especially the Moscatel. The Moscatel surprised us with its rich, warm flavor. I always thought of this alcohol as cheap and what dubious characters and inexperienced youth drank on street corners! Far from it! I only wish that the T-shirts they offer were available on our trip - especially the one that said: "Save water - Drink wine!"

Nice! - It was a nice trip!
Perfect between 2 vineyards tour.
Note that the snack is couple almonds, dont expect a lunch out of it

Family Outing - Birthday - Excellent solar boat trip (100% silent) through the magnificent Alto Douro Wine Region. The brothers (owners) are two extremely kind people with a great deal of knowledge about the entire region.
The tour also includes a tasting of two typical Douro wines.
I recommend it and I will definitely be back.

Peaceful and nice tour - Very pleasing sunset tour. Very friendly crew and the silence of the solar boat is so peaceful. Very nice to learn and discuss with the crew, not forgetting the good wine!

great tour! - Fantastic tour on a smaller boat. Plenty of space, comfortable seats, and some shade. The boat itself is solar powered, which is great because it’s quiet and doesn’t have any smell from the fuel.

A highlight of our Douro adventure!! - Lovely, peaceful boat ride with a small group of 6, plus the charming friendly couple that runs the boat and give a great history of the area. Highly, highly recommend this over the larger boats jammed with people.

Best boat tour in Pinhao! - Fantastic! All of the boat tours pass beautiful scenery but this one was had so much more! On the small boat, it felt like a private boat ride. Captain David and his mate are locals and shared so much knowledge about the vineyards, the soul and plants and history! And they are such a sweet couple! David’s English was perfect. And its solar! 100% recommended!

A must-book tour for a one-of-a-kind Douro Valley vineyard/wine tasting experience - Our tour guides were so knowledgable about the area—we learned so much about the region and the vineyards. The views were gorgeous, the ride was smooth, and the drinks were delicious. What an epic experience, one we'll remember the rest of our lives.

Nice activity for nice weather - We had a very nice time on this boat ride! It was a good amount of time; 2 hours would have felt long. The solar boat provides a unique, calm experience. It feels very private and welcoming, as our hosts provided us with delicious almonds and 2 glasses of wine. They were eager to answer questions we had about the region. The reason I had to deduct one star is because A) it was hard to know where to meet - for future travelers, its right by the boat past the bridge. B) we had plastic coverings on our boat so we could not really see much of outside and it was rather hot/ stiff on the inside. If you have poor weather on the day you planned on going, I would consider rescheduling to when you can get the full experience. Thank you for the experience!
