With the glass in your hand, the visitor takes part in a walk through the old park, going back in time to appreciate the Casona de Pirque, residence of the Concha y Toro family. In this place, the largest viticultural company of our country was born more than 100 years ago.

Be sure to visit if you go to Santiago - We went alone with a rented car. We departed from the center of Santiago and the journey was very peaceful. The place is too beautiful. We went on a Friday and it was quite busy. They are very strict with tour times.

Luscious grapes right off the vine - Not only were the grounds gorgeous and the wines sublime, the topper to this tour was being able to try lots of different wine grapes right off the vines. Fantastic!

Good to know the history of the place and try some of their labels - The tour is quite short, but enough to get to know the history of the place and to try some of their wine. Friendly staff. We went in the low season, so it was nice and not crowded at all.

MY sisters and I had a great time... -
MY sisters and I had a great time here, it reminded me of wineries in Tuscany. There was a video that told us of old stories about the families business and the grounds were very nice to walk around. I would have enjoyed a few more samples of wine on the tour but they gave us a free wine glass gift as part of the tour.

As for the pick up arrangements from the hotel, despite confirming our pick up date and time within the requested time frame, there was a last minute change in our pick up time. We were not given enough warning about the change and not sure why it was pushed back 90 minutes. Our driver did show up at the new time relatively promptly and then waited for us while we were on our tour. He also put on an English radio station for us.

Tour was in English and fun!

Terrible Tour Operator. Extremely Unreliable! - I booked this tour with an English speaking guide on November 14, 2023 for Monday December 11 at 8:30am. On Sunday December 10th, the tour operator sent a message changing the tour with the English speaking guide to the afternoon. I was out on a day tour of Santiago at the time and did not see the email until I returned to my hotel after 4pm. I replied to the email at about 4:30pm saying that the change to the afternoon would be fine as long as I was back to my hotel by 6pm. I was flying home that evening. I needed to shower, change clothes, finish packing, get to the airport, get through security, etc. and felt that i needed to leave the hotel no later than 7pm. The tour operator replied that I would not be back to the hotel before 7:30pm and that they would cancel my reservation and give me a refund. I looked through Viator and could only find one other half day winery tour (for Underraga, instead of Concha & Toro) for December 11th. I attempted to make a reservation for that tour at 5:45pm. I went to sleep around 10pm an awoke to a message stating that the second tour operator declined the reservation. I had arranged to be in Santiago for three nights specifically for a tour of Valparaiso/Vina del Mar (day 1), a tour of Santiago (day 2), and a winery tour (day 3). I wasted $423.78 for the hotel night due to this incompetent tour operator. I had nothing to do on Monday December 11th except to lay around the hotel room, or walk around the streets close to the hotel. I feel the tour operator owes me a refund for the wasted hotel night.

We were picked up at 12:30 PM, as... -
We were picked up at 12:30 PM, as scheduled, by a van with a driver and a guide.
Instead of going directly to the winery, we were led to a restaurant in Pirque El Manso Toro. No other options were offered. Even as we had already eaten, we decided to try it out. Service was terrible, the ambient was inadequate, as it was open and hot, without air conditioning, and there were flies over the tables. Price was higher than the food quality deserved. It took us more than one hour, after what we were rushed into the winery.
The tour at Concha y Toro was only OK, as the grapes garden walk was short and superficial. The wine tasting was OK, but the same glass was used for both tastings. The Casillero del Diablo cellar was less than interesting, as the video effects were only basic. Even our 12 years old son wasn't impressed.
Concha y toro's site informs that people under 18 doesn't pay entrance fee, but the tour price was the same for our 12 years old son.
To summarize, the service provided was only a transfer service, without any significant benefit from the guide presence. We lost more than one hour of the 4 hours of the tour at the restaurant and the price paid was therefore inadequate for the services provided.
