- Playa Manuel Antonio - Once you are picked up at your hotel the drive is about 25 minutes to the starting point. On the way there, we drive through a couple of local Costa Rican towns. It is an informative ride as our guides tell you about the Costa Rican lifestyle and answer any of your questions.
Once we get to our destination, you are fitted with the rafting gear and given a safety briefing. The ride down the river is about 1 1/2 hours though lush jungle and rain forest. The rapids are class 3 and 3+. Towards the end we float through a palm plantation before getting to the take out. Here you will be served a delicious snack of pineapple, fruit juice, water and cookies. The drive back to your hotel is only about 20 minutes.

Our rafting tour is a secure adventure suitable for individuals desirous of exploring a tropical river located not too far away. The departure point is just a 25-minute drive from Quepos and Manuel Antonio. The Naranjo River tours provide an excellent opportunity for families to engage in a thrilling rafting journey in the Central Pacific area of Costa Rica.
- What to bring: extra bottled water, sun block, water shoes or sneakers (Keens or Tevas work great, no flip flops), sun glasses and straps, swim suit, towel, change of clothes, a little money just in case, camera
- A minimum of 3 people per booking for the morning 7:30 am tour is required
- A minimum of 4 people per booking for the afternoon 12 pm tour is required
- A maximum of 15 people per booking
- Largest life jacket fits a size 52” chest
- Minimum age is 10 years

Experience of a lifetime - I’ve done a fair amount of rafting and this river was the best. Lots of amazing rapids, tons of action, and incredible scenery! The owners and guides are great! Our 13 year old was nervous but by the end he said he’d do it again. We felt like we were in good hands. Experience of a lifetime! Highly recommended!

Totally awesome experience for any level, beginner to advanced!! - It was our first time white water rafting and start to finish, Damian gave us the information and instructions to stay safe and have a blast on the river. In between rapids we were able to spot many birds which Damian's wealth of knowledge was able to help us identify. Super bonus was Landon's photos of us having the time of our lives experiencing this gorgeous ecosystem!

Final Costa Rican Adventure - It was first time white water rafting so, it was quite the introduction! Two others in my group had previously rafted and were looking for a “higher level” experience. I, literally, was along for the right so I agreed to “test the waters”, as it were. My guides, Mel & Lando, took great care of me, checked in frequently & offered immense support throughout the trip. It was my first rafting experience, but certainly not my last, because of them!

Great experience with family - We had a great time white water rafting with Costa Rica Tropical Adventures!! The guides were awesome and very professional. Would 100% recommend and do again if we find ourselves back in the area! Damian and his group are the best !

Great Rafting adventure with my son - Damian was an excellent guide for our 1st ever white water raft experience.It was a real adrenaline rush in the rapids.This was intermixed with real peaceful tranquility admiring the canyon and surroundings.The water was refreshing and we were the first raft on the Rio Naranjo in the morning so no other rafts to contend with. It was also great that only my son & I were in the raft with Damian so a real personal experience. I would highly recommend this rafting experience as it was such a fun and fulfilling thing to do and glad that we booked this adventure.
Finally,Damian’s colleague took photos of us rafting and these are great memories to look back upon.
If you are slightly nervous about booking,don’t be,as you are in excellent hands.Book & enjoy

Real, amazing, and safe adventure - Dom and his family and staff are some of the best tour operators I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. They took care of our safety first and always. After that, they made us feel like family and provided us with an amazing adventure for first-time white water rafters. The river was the lowest it has been in decades due to EL Nino, but that had no negative impact on the amount of fun and adventure that Dom was able to provide. I would recommend Dom to all my friends in their visit to Costa Rica. His recommendation is for Koky BBQ ribs was spot on. Great BBQ ribs with a sauce that was so unique that it put the ribs in running for best I have ever had, and this is from an Okie who lived in Kansas City!!

Do it! - It was really fun. I loved the water and the Information the Tour Guide could give us on nearly everything. It was a good size of people so everyone was seen and heard in their needs. When I return to Costa Rica I will definitely book this tour again ☺️

Highly recommend river rafting with this group! - Damien and his crew were great. They communicated early on meeting time and place. The drive to the starting point was easy and quite beautiful. Drove through a farm within the rainforest. The crew explained all the necessary information on rafting and safety. They made sure nothing went wrong during the excursion. It was challenging but a ton of fun. The rapids were rough but the guides made sure all was good. Swimming in the river, a small cliff jump and sitting in waterfall was an added bonus. They took pictures for the group to buy. The fresh fruit, cookies, and juice were a perfect ending. Thanks for a great day! Highly recommend!

Awesome tour and top notch guides! - Damian and Mel were amazing guides. Both spoke perfect english and explained exactly what to expect. The safety briefing was on point and made us feel very comfortable. The experience was exilirating and super fun! Loved our time at the waterfall. Highly recommendmend this tour company.
