Fascinating and impressive - We live locally and have had guests from the UK staying with us who wanted to take a boat tour. We decided to go with Aquaterra. We’d been having great weather, but unfortunately the day of our tour was overcast and breezy. However, it didn’t deter us. Today the boat was skippered by Sean, a born and bred Valentia lad and the tour info was provided by Elizabeth. From the moment we arrived, they were both very friendly and welcoming and got us on board and seated with no fuss - even providing blankets as it was a bit chilly. We headed out and were immediately impressed with Elizabeth’s extensive knowledge of the history of the whole area including various buildings, all the islands dotted around and of course the Cromwell Fort Lighthouse and also Sean’s control of the boat, as he got us in as close as safety would allow, to all we wanted to see. We were kept fascinated throughout the tour and it was amazing to see these local landmarks from the perspective of the water. Living locally, we sometimes overlook what we have right on our doorsteps and we were so glad we took the tour. We will definitely be returning to go on one of their Eco Wildlife tours in the near future. Well done Aquaterra - a great local company and we look forward to seeing you again !

Valentia island 1h30 min - Superb! lovely! The entire excursion was great with concise explanations in English about the Vilingos and early Christian settlements in the area. Visit to the cave, the lighthouse and the cliffs, spectacular. The coast and the incredible views. We were able to see cormorants and seals (some heads). We were picked up at Renard Point where there is a seafood or Neils restaurant (closed on Tuesdays). The excursion is in a large boat with capacity for about 15 people, very stable, and the navigation is through calm waters. We went with children and no dizziness. 100% recommended if you are in the Kerry area. We recommend a previous stop at Derrynane Beach to take a swim if the weather is good.

A Memorable Trip Across Generations! - Being a Kerry native, it's easy to take for granted the gems right in our backyard. So, taking a cue from that, our family, spanning three generations (ages 3 to 60's) - decided to embark on the Valentia Island Tour. I have to say, it was an experience that will stay etched in our memories for years to come. From the get-go, the attention to detail was apparent. The provision of blankets was a thoughtful touch that kept us warm and dry, a genuine comfort, especially with the unpredictable weather we occasionally face! Our guide, Elizabeth, was a veritable fountain of knowledge. Her ability to adapt our route, skirting an oncoming raincloud, was indicative of her professionalism. Super impressed! A special highlight was watching my toddler nephew getting a chance to "drive" the boat. His joy and laughter were infectious, and it became a moment the entire family cherished. The breathtaking views, and little history lessons made the 90 minutes fly by. For both locals and visitors alike, I can state without hesitation that the Valentia Island Tour is an absolute must-do! This tour has our wholehearted recommendation.

Excellent Valentia Harbour tour - Our tour guide Elizabeth had in-depth knowledge of the history of Valentia and the islands in the harbour. She also showed photos of the archaeology which were fascinating. The boat was very accessible, padded seats and blankets when it got windy. Skipper Pat led us expertly around the islands in the harbour and also up to Caherciveen. Well worth it.

Definitely worth doing! - Absolutely wonderful tour of the harbors of Valentia and Cahersiveen. Elizabeth was very knowledgeable about all the local history and we learned many things. It was so interesting to see places (we have seen from the road) from a different vantage point.
