This is not the typical horseback riding experience with tired horses neither exploted animals. This is the only experience that takes place inside the national park. Getting to the base camp is the most beautiful and challenging thing you will ever do.

Beautiful non tourist experience - Echoing all the other reviews being made. Jorge and other staff were fabulous, very easy going and encouraging. We were fortunate with a beautiful day, but the views and experiences on the horseback trail were indescribable. The only way you wouldn't get a 5 star experience is if you got kicked in the head by a horse, which would probably be your fault. The hike was challenging but there is a less strenuous option available if needed. I would highly recommend this experience.

Exceptional experience!!!! - šŸŒŸāœØ I had the immense pleasure of exploring Quito, Ecuador with the extraordinary Jose as my tour guide! His exceptional storytelling abilities and deep passion for his country made the experience truly unforgettable. From the moment we started the tour, Joseā€™s enthusiasm was contagious. He brought the rich history of Quito to life, weaving tales that made each site we visited even more captivating. His knowledge and love for Ecuador shone through every story he shared, making the cityā€™s vibrant culture and heritage come alive before my eyes. Whether we were standing at the equator at Mitad del Mundo, ascending to breathtaking heights on the TelefĆ©riQo cable car, or wandering through the historic streets of Old Town, Joseā€™s engaging narratives kept me enthralled. His ability to connect with everyone in the group, answer all our questions, and share local insights was simply remarkable. Jose, thank you for making my trip to Quito an electrifying adventure. Your passion and dedication left a lasting impression on me, and I canā€™t wait to return and explore more of beautiful Ecuador with you as my guide. šŸŒšŸ’– #ThankYouJose #QuitoAdventures #ExceptionalGuide #TravelEcuador

A perfect day! - We had such a lovely day. Jorge was a fantastic guide and the landscape was wonderful. Our group split up. Two of us climbed to Cotopaxi base camp the and the other two took the lake hike. Both were beautiful. We all felt the altitude. I loved that the tour company keeps money in the hands of Ecuadorians. Take this tour, youā€™ll love it.

Amazing day of adventure - What a great day! Time passed so quickly that I didn't even realize it was almost 5 p.m. when we got back to Quito. It was an amazing horseback ride and base camp hike (I traveled with two others from the group, and we finished in 48 minutes). At various points, I really thought I wouldn't be able to make it, but we did. It was a challenge, given the high altitude. Be sure to get the hot chocolate at the base camp and bring your passport for the stamp. It was an amazing day and adventure, well organized by Jorge and the local hosts. I'm glad we were contributing to the local community as well. Such simple people, with a love for animals and nature. I'm so glad I got to see Cotopaxi both on horseback and on foot.

Great day trip - This was a fun experience. Jorge was very friendly and professional. The horseback riding was relaxing and offers such nice views of Cotopaxi! The hike up to base camp was fairly short but quite difficult and finished off at base camp with great views and tea. I would definitely recommend this day trip!

Volcano and horseback riding!? - Jorge's tour of Cotopaxi is second to none! I wanted to get more in touch with the more outdoorsy activities while in Quito and this was everything I wanted and then some. The views of Cotopaxi was absolutely AMAZING! And enjoying the scenery on horse back made this trip that much more extravagant. For anyone that wants to escape the touristy tours and enjoy something along the lines of nature in Quito, do not hesitate to give this tour a shot!

Great day trip from Quito - Amazing day trip! Challenging hike to the top of the glacier, but 100% worth it. The horse riding portion of the trip is also a lot of fun. We enjoyed learning about the local culture and taking in the amazing views.
