Excursion to do absolutely - A big thank you to Chris our guide who introduced us to the endemic plants and animals of his fabulous island. A breathtaking view. Participating in local ebony reforestation is full of meaning and emotion.

Amazing place - We visited here and did the Love tour, contacting Ebony the night before to book for the following day and they were very responsive. If you have any interest in nature then I’d really recommend visiting Ebony. We loved it - it’s so clear that the guides are super passionate about everything they’re doing and have a lot of knowledge to share. The viewpoint literally took our breath away - it is incredible! We were so lucky to visit on a clear day. Only 2 bits of constructive feedback: • we had hoped to look around the shop following our visit, but unfortunately it was closed by the time we were finished with the tour (around 5:20pm) • we would love an opportunity to get updates on our tree after it’s been planted. Will the tag be kept on the tree / will it continue to be traceable? (Didn’t see tags on any other trees!) Appreciate that this may not be feasible, but even if Ebony offered some type of sponsorship opportunity where you could commit a fee each year to continue getting updates on your tree and contribute to the work Ebony forest is doing, we’d be interested :)

Very nice love tree tour - Very nice tour including watching endemic fauna and flora, planting an endangered tree and several stops at beautiful viewpoints. Enthousiastic guide who knows a lot about the environment.

Wow- turning back time and restoring the past - Booked this experience and didn’t regret it. For me it was the highlight of all the trips we booked while on our honeymoon. Our guide Albey was considerate, friendly and knowledgeable. He gave us a real insight into the conservation and restoration work being done in the Ebony Forest as well as giving us the space and time to enjoy the experience as a couple. We saw endemic wildlife and if course learned a lot about ebony and how it is now protected. Planting our love tree was very special and took little time to do as everything was prepared for us. The jeep ride to the top of the mountain was great fun and the view don’t disappoint. We were offered hot snacks and a drink to enjoy with the view. Whilst there are a good number of visitors to this forest the plant a tree experience is possibly not so well known about, and I would really encourage couples to take this option when visiting. You really will be making a difference in continuing the work being done here by the team. Thank you x

Lovely unspoiled nature, and trying to restore the natural habitat. - Not sure what to expect with this tour but it was a great outing and morning adventure. We were the only ones on the tour, and our guide was fantastic. We started with the museum tour which they talked about the plants and animals, and then the ride up to the forest, which was pretty wild. It beats walking all that way for sure, then we did the forest tour and on the way back to the other side we did the tree planting. We were doing it with our toddler who was enjoying the whole thing, well, maybe not the fly in her eye, but for our case it wasn't a romantic outing. We then were brought up to the lookout which we didn't know about and had the most amazing view. From there we had our snack and drinks enjoying the platform to our selves and then finally taken back down the mountain again. I feel like this tour and adventure is one of the hidden charms of the island. If you are reading this review don't hesitate to book this trip.

it can be even better, with room for improvement - The communication with the provider and with/via Tripadvisor was abysmally bad, we actually didn't know until an hour before the meeting whether it would take place! Then the taxi driver called, various emails were not answered and the cancellation button refused. Guys, this is not acceptable. Then it wasn't a couples event but together with another family of 4. Why we were only allowed to plant one tree but paid for 2 people is a mystery to me. There was food, a jeep transfer, a guided tour with guide CHRIST (very competent in English & French) the best view of a mountain, great plants and a few animals to see. Overall I thought over 70 euros plus a taxi transfer of 130 euros from the north was far too expensive. Mmm, what a pity. But the idea of learning and leaving something sustainable behind was great. Just keep improving the event!
