Enjoy a spectacular tour with our experienced guides and learn about the history of our Spirit Mountain, Mount Ngongotaha.
Our guides are passionate about the environment, Rotorua and Maori history, culture & legends associated with the mountain.
Your tour takes you over 100 year old forestry trails through the spectacular New Zealand native bush.
The tour takes approximately 1 hour with the highlight being able to reach the highest lookout in Rotorua with spectacular views over Lake Rotorua.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult
- A maximum of five passengers per buggy
- Half-hour buggy ride: suitable for children over the age of 2 (child seats can be fitted into the buggies - please confirm at the time of booking)
- 1-hour buggy ride: suitable for older children who do not require a child seat

GANGSTA - Must do while in Rotorua. excellent service excellence for history of the land scary actually the journey one word my son summed up this activity “GANGSTA” we did the 1 hour and we are so glad we didn’t do the 30min. well worth the price would do this again the memories we have created is priceless. thank you ☺️

Best experience - Amazing drive up the hill.
Watching some cows on the way up was something that kids love.

What a fun way to see the view - The buggys were cool. The view from the top was amazing. Nathan and liam were great guides.i recommend it to anyine that wants to see the lake and Rotarua a different way

A great time to had… - We had an amazing time!
Our driver was fantastic, he knew a lot about the area.
He pointed out things of interest, allowed us time to take photos.

Fun whanau day - Fun whānau day! The kids loved the steep muddy bits the best. Pity we couldn’t go through the native bush because it was too muddy.

Brilliant tour - Our guides Sean and Ihaia were absolutely brilliant. Full of great humour and brilliant driving skills to get us through many muddy spots. We all had a fantastic time and would 100% recommend this tour

A Must-Visit Destination - I would highly recommend Adventure Playground Rotorua to anyone visiting the area. It's a well-run and thrilling park with plenty of attractions that will keep you entertained for hours, and the staff are some of the nicest people you'll meet. There's really something for everyone here, and I think it would make a great destination for families, groups of friends, or anyone looking for a day of adventure and excitement. Don't miss out on this one!

Exhilerating! - Great fun! Exhilerating! I had white knuckles with the daughter driving hill side. Squealed over the pump track and was in awe at the beautiful forrestry and views! I would highly recommend. I got talked into it... but would do it again!

Fun way to see Rotorua nature - This is a fun way to see the landscape outside of Rotorua! The track takes you up into the hills above the city, and then into a rainforesty part for a bit. The views were beautiful, the buggies were pretty easy and fun to drive, and our guide (Mac?) was super nice. You get a little dusty but that's part of the fun!

Fun on four wheels - Fun, personalized, and relaxed. Zack (guide) made several stops along the way to allow us the chance to get out and take pictures of the landscape and swap drivers.
Wished we had spent more time in the rainforest as this was the best part for us.
