Thrilling Ride, Great Scenery - The high-speed boats that power you up and down this canyon are great fun. They're fast and noisy, and you get a bit wet from the bow-wave, but they get you a long way up the canyon and give you a great chance to see the various sights, including the toweriing rocky cliffa above you. You'll see wildlife too - we say egrets, herons, spider monkeys and some (very large) crocodiles. The boats are completely open with no cover so take sprays, hats, water etc - you'll get very hot. Highly recommended.

Great value - Amazing value for money - the boat ride is amazing and a must do. The tour is in Spanish so would recommend some basic Spanish, but still enjoyable even if you don’t.

Great value - Excellent tour! It is my second time for Sumodero canyon and I prefer this route. View from Mirador is spectacular and the boat about 2hours is also fun. Only nad thing is not much things to do (eating or buying) at Chiapas de corzo..but overall really worth for every single peso I paid. Absolutely recommend!

The Canyon - not the lookout! - The canyon is impressive. The walls rising up to the sky are 1 km(!) high at the highest point. Yes to what other travelers stated in their review. Wear a hat you can fix, dress lightly. Try to get a seat in the back of the boat. When you sit in front the sight ahead is blocked by the boat itself. Don‘t make the mistake I did, to book the tour with the look outs. There is about 3 hours driving involved, it‘s a full day tour, more expensive and not worth it. Especially when you come from a place where you have a lot of mountains/canyons..

Great trip. Terrible transport - Great trip. However, it says english speaking tour guides. There were no english speakers which made it difficult to understand about the canyon, so just enjoyed the views instead which were amazing. The van we were in was terrible. So tightly crammed in and barely made it up hills as the engine was knackered. Took longer than it should have.

Beautiful Place, but a Tourist Trap - Place is beautiful, the canyon is amazing; unfortunately they trap you as soon as you come into town and boats and tours are a big tourist trap

No English Spoken - We asked for an English speaking tour. The guide did not speak a word of English. So, we enjoyed the nature and views in the canyon. The van he drove us in had a huge crack in the windshield. The guide was late to pick us up after lunch and mistakenly boarded a passenger not on our tour. We had to return passenger. Be aware of this company!
