10 hours of fun. Best tour guide ever. Food A+ - Such a good trip. What really brought it above the rest was our tour guide. He got everybody talking and having fun. This is the best tour I ever took and the food was amazing they served. Provided a great value for the amount of time you got. To top it all off the tour guide told us to literally take all the time we wanted at the Rio on pools, we spent over an hour bathing in the pools and exploring.

Don’t tell anyone, but the roads are WAY better than the reviews say. - Amazing I think at this point in our trip we wanted to take Dimas everywhere with us. He could literally find tarantulas in the grass, and knew everything about this beautiful place. What a great opportunity to compare Tikal’s rival city, and far more shaded too. Of course we climbed all over, and the views were incredible. Again Dimas showed us birds (those nests), and really brought the history to life with his knowledge of the site.

Incredible Mayan Caracol tour and caves and pools - We had an incredible day tour w this operator - all of their staff were super friendly and helpful and not pushy - our tour guide O’Neil was super knowledgeable and thoughtful and we were taken care of throughout the day - the food was so fresh and tasty and we loved the Caracol Mayan ruins, The open ended cave of Rio Frio and also the swimming pools to cool off and relax at the end - the vehicle was air conditioned and we also got to see a toucan which was amazing for us. I would highly recommend this company and their guides. Top notch.

Caracol and cave exploration - Long road under construction took us deep into the jungle to the incredible site of Caracol. Interesting history, incredible ruins, and wild birds and monkeys. Lunch was excellent locally prepared food. O’Neil, our guide was an excellent source of information. We finished the day at Rio Frio Cave and falls for a refreshing swim. The cave was huge with lots of interesting formations, bats, and history.

Fantastic Day Trip, Great Guide! - This was an 8am-6pm full day trip. We arrived at the ruins late morning, be prepared for some rough roads the last part of the drive. Our guide Jeremy was fantastic, very knowledgeable and patient. Walked the ruins and explained what we were seeing and the history of the region. Definitely worth going with a guide, felt sorry for the people there on their own who didn’t benefit from the detailed information. After we finished the tour we had lunch. DONT MISS THIS: lunch was catered from Ko Ox Han Nah in San Ignacio - so delicious! Stew chicken, salad, plantain, spicy pickled veg, rice and beans. Other groups had sandwiches but not us. After lunch we headed to Rio Frio Cave and then Rio On Pools. Only regret is that we didn’t have more time in the day. Then, the final kicker - snickers candy bars on the ride home. Such an amazing day and fantastic guide, worth every penny.

A FANTASTIC day of learning and exploring - We booked the full day tour to Caracol not really knowing what to expect, but our guide, Dimas, was EXCELLENT! He shared his extensive knowledge of the history of the Mayan people and culture and the current day work that is still underway to learn more about Mayan civilization. He is clearly passionate about nature, history, the Mayans, and the extensive work that has been done to understand the ancient civilization. Following the ruins, we visited the Rio Frio Cave and Pools. Again, Dimas was so knowledgeable about the environment and answered every single question we had. He knew every bird, plant, or tree we came upon and was eager to engage with whatever interested us. The road to Caracol was NOT a great road, but Dimas made the trip a fun adventure and helped pass the time by generously sharing his knowledge of Belize. We would highly recommend going through Cayo Inland Expeditions for transportation and tours. If you book transportation from the Airport inland (San Ignacio or anywhere close) ask for Wayne. He was THE BEST!! Terry, Mike, Gi-Gi & Glenn from Canada

Full, Fun Day at Caracol, Caves, and Pools - There were several companies to choose from for this day trip to Caracol and Mountain Pine Ridge, but I am so glad we went with Cayo Inland Tours. From the beginning of the day when they picked us up at our apartment to the end of the day when we arrived back home, we were well taken care of. Dimas was knowledgeable & kind. He served up an amazing lunch and let us take as much time as we needed to thoroughly experience the many wonders of Caracol. Additionally, he had an incredible depth of knowledge on the birds in the area and helped us identify several of the bird calls we were hearing. I would definitely book another tour with Cayo Inland Tours!

Amazing! - This is definitely an all day tour (8am - 6pm), but it was worth it. Our guide O'Neill was amazing! He picked us up at our hotel and we were the only ones on the tour. The drive from San Ignacio is long (2 hours, mostly on dirt roads) but he made it interesting. He even stopped for me to take a picture when I spotted a toucan in a tree!! I highly recommend going with a tour guide instead of on your own. Not only is it more informative, but the road is rough and under construction in many places, and there are also a couple of military checkpoints you need to go through on the way where you need to sign in and out. My husband has always wanted to see Mayan pyramids but knows how some of the ones in Mexico are so crowded with tourists. That is one of the reasons we chose to visit Belize. We practically had Caracol all to ourselves, and we were allowed to climb all the way to the top and even enter some tombs! We saw spider monkeys and howler monkeys in the trees! The howler monkeys spent some time calling to each other, and we were amazed at how loud they are!! O'Neill is extremely knowledgeable and took his time explaining the Maya culture and history, which we really enjoyed. He served us lunch at the site after our tour, which was so much nicer than what we expected: roasted chicken, rice and beans, salad, and plantains. The stop at Rio Frio Cave was so cool! It's a small cave with an entrance and an exit, and we walked through the whole thing. The Rio On Pools were beautiful. We walked down to the river and to a couple of the waterfalls, but did not go swimming as it was a cool, overcast day and drizzled on and off. Cayo Inland Expeditions and O'Neill get five stars in my book!
