Highlights
  • Cueva del Indio - Get ready for the most unique experience in your life! First we meet up in Condado. From there you ride with us. The drive is about an hour and takes us to the heart of Arecibo. Arecibo is one of the cities with the richest historical legacies in all of Puerto Rico. The drive itself is very beautiful, but our first destination is absolutely breathtaking. When we get there we will do a short hike (wear good sneakers) to the mouth of the cave! Keep your cameras handy because the views are out of this world. The cave of the Taino Indian is a small cave system that is a historical and archeological wonderland! This cave is literally covered in Taino stone carvings. It is breathtaking and the scenery even more so! After we exit the cave, we make our way to the 7 arches to take in the amazing views. After another short hike back to the car, we head out to a beautiful beach in Arecibo as well. This tour will give you a taste of the Caribbean lifestyle/history/culture.

Additional Information

This day trip is guaranteed to make your stay in the island unforgettable. This tour has adrenaline and adventure, history and archeology, beautiful scenery and beaches. The drive to Arecibo is About an hour and it is beautiful from start to finish. We arrive and begin our hike to the cave of the Taino. Bring good shoes as the hike is quite rocky. The entrance to the cave is not for claustrophobic people. it is bit challenging but with our careful instructions you will be able to get inside (barring any physical conditions that hinder you). The cave is other worldly. You get transported to the past as you see the over 100 carvings in the stone that are hundreds, maybe thousands, of years old. After we exit the cave we will hike through the famous 7 arches of Arecibo. The arches are natural rock formations which can be appreciated in pictures, but only in person will you realize how beautiful it all really is. Last we visit a non-touristy beach that is amazing!

Kenyon was amazing! - Kenyon was amazing! Super friendly and informative from the beginning! He was super hospitable in every situation from helping others into the cave to helping an elderly couple get their car unstuck! We had the best time and laughed the whole trip! Have nothing but great things to say!! Highly recommend!

Great views and a Fun Time - Great tour and Jesus was a great and entertaining guide. I will say they need to be a little clearer on the nature of the hike. Entering the cave was not for the claustrophobic. It was really tight and required a good degree of dexterity and physical condition. The tour description did mention the confined spaces, but so many cave excursions oversell any risks that it’s easy to blow it off. That being said, it was super fun and the views are incredible.

Taino Caves - Airam did an amazing job on the tour. He was very knowledgeable about the Taino caves. The carvings are amazing and pictures don’t do it justice. He took us to get a nice lunch and then to a beautiful beach. Highly recommended.

Worth it - Our guide, Jesus was knowledgeable about the location and helpful with entry of the cave which instead of itself was a bit of a challenge but achievable with the help of Jesus. Bottle water and a light snack were provided during the cave part of the excursion. He then brought us to a local vendor for authentic food then to a local beach with clear water and Pina colodas near by. We enjoyed the trip and recommend close toe shoes.

Cave Warriors - Ariam was our tour guide. He was very nice and shared some interesting history with us as he drove us to Arecibo. He took us to some breathtaking scenery and to some Taino prehistoric habitats, which were absolutely amazing !!. He ended the tour in La Poza Del Obizpo beach for a quick swim and more pics. We also had such a great team. Always making sure everyone was ok. Overall, this was a memorable experience and a must do if you're in San Juan.

Gotta go! - The views, the water, the cave…all breathtaking. Sarah guided us in and out of the cave perfectly with assistance from Arian and Jesus. It’s a bit intimidating, but so worth it!

Amazing cave tour and beach day - Amazing experience! Our tour guide were Airam, Jesus, and Sarah and they were very knowledgeable they explained the cave structure and how to make it down and up safely. We took a lot to pictures. Views were breathtaking. We even saw a real boa snake in the cave that we petted :) Then we went to La poza del obispo to cool down and ice cream.

Off the beaten path - A nice day trip not too far from San Juan. Our tour guide was very accommodating to all guests. The cave is not meant for folks who have no climbing skills but even if you don’t go, it’s still a lovely sight. The beach is very nice and very much away from a lot of tourists. The vehicle needed a major overhaul: cleaning needed as it smelled like the ocean baked into it.
