Highlights
  • Charco Azul - This tour is rather an undiscovered area. Along the way you will see some of the most beautiful views the island has to offer as we weave our way thru the mountains deep in the heart of the island. Once we reach Vega Baja, our adventure begins hiking down to reach the jungle where the waters are clear, cool and pristine, and awesome cave views
Once we reach the first cave we get to go under a waterfall that feels like hydrotherapy on your shoulders energizing your spirit. Also we reach a subterranean cave waterfall swimming through this caves!. After we exit the first cave we cross the river at various points. We will see Taino carvings on the stone, indicating the presence of our ancestors in the land before.
The second cave is even cooler as we get to literally swim underground to cross it.
After the second cave we continue our hike thru the lush tropical jungle. We are making our way to the third and favorite spot, Charco Azul Canyon. The place is absolutely other worldly, being the scene for various hollywood movies.
Once there we swim and relax. Also there are many cliff jumps (optional).

Additional Information

Our meeting point is in a central location in Condado. The drive to the caves from this point is approximately an hour. This excursion leads us to a relatively unexplored territory on the island, distant from the bustling crowds and throngs of tourists in El Yunque. Wear tough footwear as we will be trekking through rivers, exploring an underground cave, and even have the opportunity to swim through. Million-year-old rivers have sculpted these mountains, resulting in a myriad of intriguing rock formations and caves. There’s also evidence indicating that indigenous people had visited this location earlier! We cap off our adventure with a soothing stopover at some natural pools. This will undoubtedly be a unique experience unlike any you have had before!

Best First Cave Experience - This was soooooo much fun! Our guides were very knowledgeable and patient with us and made sure everyone was safe. The views were spectacular! It is a lot of swimming/walking through water, but it was not a difficult hike. Definitely something to do if you want adventure! You should bring close toed shoes! And be careful of slippery rocks! But the guides will help with the best footing possible and warn you when they can. Can not recommend enough!

Awesome Cave Experience!! - So much fun!!! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable of the area, the history of the area, as well as the native plants and animals. He knew exactly where to place each foot when climbing the slippery/unstable areas and helped every one of us the entire way, not leaving anybody behind. He made for a really safe and memorable experience. We swam thru caves, hiked the jungle, and even jumped off 30ft cliff (optional). Definitely recommend!!!!

The best birthday excursion ever - Brilliam & Maria were THE BEST TOUR GUIDES I’ve ever had. I came back from San Juan smiling ear to ear. Not only was the excursion fun, it was challenging and forced some of us to overcome our fears. We went cliff jumping, swam through caves and went through a thrilling hike. I can’t even swim!!! With a vest and a tour guide like brilliam i truly forgot that I couldn’t even swim. I even jumped off both cliffs. I never felt safer. Brilliam I cannot thank you enough for my birthday experience. It was one of my favorite memories of my entire life. I felt so free after. I’ll be returning just for you! Much love, Damario

Once in a Lifetime Experience - Okay, so I booked this experience as part of our honeymoon to add some adventure and see another part of the island. I am so glad I did. The sights we saw are gorgeous. From the mountains to the caves and waterfalls, the nature of Puerto Rico is chef's kiss. Our tour guide was funny and very knowledge. You could tell he knew these trails like the back of his hand and he has so much respect for them. Our guide and our group were super patient and supportive with me when I took a little too long to jump the first cave (blame my nerves). But it was so worth it! The longer you wait the more games your brain plays on you but it isn't a crazy jump. Don't skip out on this part, you'll regret it. Swimming through the caves were awesome, there's bats (who don't bother you), fresh water falling off limestone (delicious!), Taino markings, and of course waterfalls. Halfway through the trip, we stopped near a stream in the shade where there were beautiful colored fish and our guide offered us water, fruit and snacks. The hike was steep at parts, so be prepared. But my husband and I did it fine and were moderately in shape in our mid 30s. Wear water shoes, bring a towels, and a change of clothes. Spray sunblock before you leave the car, but otherwise you don't need anything. No hat or sunglasses needed cause it's mostly shaded or you're swimming. If you bring a phone make sure that it's not only in a waterproof case but a floatable one. There was a guy in another party who jumped from a cliff and when he hit the water his waterproof case detached from the lanyard and because it wasn't a case that floats it sunk and according to his wife "lost everything from the trip". Also we didn't encounter a lot of other groups, mostly locals or tourists who visited on their own. So it wasn't crowded at all. Basically don't leave PR without booking thus experience y'all, it's so worth it!

Ditch the crowd and take a tour you will never forget - This was the best tour we have ever been on. You know how sometimes you book a small group tour and end up at the same place as the big tours? Not this one. This was like getting together with an old friend and having him take you to a local favorite swimming hole. Except this swimming hole includes a jump into a rainforest river gorge from a small cliff (you can walk around if you want but it is only about 16’ drop), a swim through exquisite caves where you can see ancient stone carvings, make colorful “paint” using river stones, and if you are up for it you can take a jump from a few more locations into the river. My 13 year old son and I had a blast. Dont be scared about your physical fitness. I am 54 and out of shape and was able to do it with no problem with the short hike and swimming. The awesome couple we toured with opted for life jackets and had a great time too. We grabbed water shoes at the hotel before the trip and they were perfect. Just make sure they have a rubber bottom for grip. We grabbed a waterproof case/pocket for my phone that I kept in a zippers pocket of my swim trunks. In retrospect a float on the case would have been good. You won’t need to bring anything but your self and a camera. We left a change of clothes and towel in the van in our backpack and changed right after our tour.

Best tour we did! - This tour was a great experience. We started by jumping into the water and swimming and then walking through a narrow river area to a cave and a waterfall. We then walked to a different area where we did cliffjumping from several spots and were able to walk up a river a ways and just sit and relax and enjoy the views. It was pretty incredible and it was our favorite tour on our trip.
