An afternoon visiting the Altamira museum - Very excellent guide, Gabriella, thorough, timely, and very versed on all points! Enjoyed the afternoon very much, just wish we had a little extra free time, but it was an very good tour.

Go back in history - The replica of the cave is excellent, it seems to be in the original cave that only 5 people per week can visit to preserve it.
The medieval town of Santillana del Mar is beautiful and easy to navigate

This tour in combination... - This tour in combination with the tour to Castillo caves gives a very complete picture of the geology, tools, and methods used to make the art seen in all caves in this region. At the Alatamira museum and Neo cave I got a closer look at the paintings and learned more about their significance. I also enjoyed the tour to the town of Santillana that is relatively similar to how it was historically. Highly recommend to travelers who want to learn more about archeology during the Paleolithic era.

We loved this tour - Excellent excursion, as if you were with a friend from Cantabria. The appropriate number of people since in this way the explanations of Rafael, our guide, could be very close. Everything well organized. At first I had my doubts about the Altamira neocave but they were quickly dispelled when Rafael was providing you with information. Well prepared and documented guide. The excursion responds exactly to everything it says on the page and is one hundred percent recommended.

Great - Altamira cave and museum were amazing, very interesting! And Santillana del Mar was lovely with lots of little shops and restaurants. Our guide Mercedes was really knowledgable and helpful.

Interesting experiences at Santillana and Altamira Cave - The church at Santillana was interesting and of course the columns and carvings were beautiful- but there was too much time hanging around the town which is quite small with a few streets. However it was good we were there early before the big crowds came.
More time at Altamira would be better. We were rushed through the museum in 10 minutes before the video and cave portion was scheduled in the queue. As the first replica cave I have experienced, I was not disappointed. It is a must see when you are in Cantabria!

Well worth while - Our guide was very helpful, explaining in English for us after speaking in Spanish to the rest of the group. It was a good small group. I would have.appreciated more time at the museum (there was not enough time to see it all) and more time in the old town where we only had half an hour free time.

I want my refund as Viatour cancelled. - The trip was cancelled and I'm finding it very difficult to get a refund. The agent has asked Vuator to refund me. PayPal have asked for a response. 10 days later and no reply. I won't use VIATOUR again.
