We need more recognition. - Rozz taught us many things about Savannah's involvement in the slave trade. We walked away with a more informed view of that span of time.

Unlike any other Savannah tour - An incredibly moving and informative experience. Sister Ross knows her stuff, and her passion is inspiring. I am baffled by the city of Savannah's unwillingness to embrace its true history and commemorate and honor the profound contributions of the urban enslaved people that built the city. This is a must fo tour.

Real History - My Husband and I really enjoyed hearing real history. Sistah Patt is a true story teller. She exudes wisdom and she has such a beautiful spirit. The tour was both enlightening and heartbreaking. It was just awesome to see a tribe's mark left so many centuries later. I honestly do not have the words to describe the tour fully. Let me just say that It is something everyone should experience.

This tour was... - This tour was EXCEPTIONAL. I tried to get in last year when we were in Savannah but it was sold out, and I see why! The truth is told about American slavery, passed down from family, the direct descendants of the Gullah Geechee tribe. Told perfectly from a storyteller's perspective, with an educational format, in a captivating and eye opening wealth of information that is appropriate for most audiences. Sista Pat and Sista Roz tell the ugly truth of the history of slavery from its beginning. They walk you through the areas where slaves came in and were held, the wall where whipping happened, and the auction block which saw indescribable injustices to human beings. Also, the still current struggle with the city of Savannah to get recognition of the truth, and honor for those who endured this horrific part of history. The tour is not intended to further divide races, but to educate and promote healing among Americans which it so eloquently accomplishes. I can't recommend it enough to every person who has the opportunity to take it. No history lesson ever taught in schools would touch the sincerity and accuracy of this educational tour. May God bless and protect Sista Pat and Sista Roz and their work.

Too much to sum up in a review, must do for bucket list - This tour is a must do for ALL Savannah visitors and should really be something that is required learning for Savannah schools. Sistah Pat and Sistah Ros take you on a journey of violence, struggle, heartache, survival and most importantly FREEDOM! Towards the end of the tour there's a short performance by Sistah Ros that's indescribable and something we will never forget. The information given on the tour is difficult to take in at times but also life changing! This is the type of tour that you have to experience at least one time in your life.
