Highlights
  • Oedolgae - Oedolgae Rock(Lonely rock)
There is a sad legend about love handed down in Oedolgae. Once upon a time, in a seaside village in Seogwipo-si, a couple lived with a child. One day father went fishing to the sea. His father met a storm and the boat overturned and died. He sank into the sea, but his father did not return, so She waited on the beach like every day for decades before turning to stone and dying. It is in the form of grandmother and is standing carrying a baby. When his father heard the news, he floated over the sea and washed up to the beach to meet grandmother and turned into a stone. grandfather’s legs are submerged in the sea, so if you look into the sea behind grandmother, you can see grandfather’s feet.
  • Jeongbang Waterfall - This waterfall represents Jeju Island. It is the only waterfall in Asia that falls from land into the sea. A place where you can dip your feet in the water.
‘Seobulgwacha’ was written in Chinese characters on the rock wall of Jeongjeong Waterfall. There is a legend that an envoy from Qin Shi Huang came to Yeongju Mountain (now Mount Halla) in Jeju Island and went around looking for the herb of immortality, inscribed on a rock. Jeongbang Waterfall has a lot of rocks, so you have to walk very carefully under your feet, and the stairs are easy to come down, but very difficult to get around. As the only natural waterfall in Asia that falls into the sea, it creates a more beautiful scenery when there are many photos and rainbows.
Jeongbang Falls is one of the top 10 unexplored places in Jeju Island and is a must-see tourist attraction.
  • Yongmeori Beach - Yongmeori Coast is located at the foot of Sanbangsan Mountain and extends all the way to the coast. Yongmeori Coast was given its name because it resembles the shape of a dragon going into the sea. Layers of sandstone over tens of millions of years have been carved by waves to form strange cliffs. The hollow inside, like the secret room hit by the waves, or the empty cave like the traces of the waves on the rock wall, makes you feel the grandeur of facing a long history. The spectacular scenery of winding cliffs with a length of 30 to 50 meters has been filmed as a background for commercials and movies.
  • O’sulloc Tea Museum - Opened in September 2001, O’sulloc Tea Museum is a museum with domestic and foreign tea-related items. It is a cultural space that harmonizes the traditions of the East and the West and the modern, as well as a nature-friendly resting space. It is a learning space where you can understand green tea and traditional Korean tea culture, where you can experience all things Sulloc tea.

Taking pictures in the green tea field
It is worth experiencing the feeling of green youth. How about making time for meditation for the whole family to relax and have a leisurely cup of tea?
In the midst of busy life in the city
We hope that this will be a time of recovery for the body and mind.

  • Songaksan Mountain - Songaksan Beach is famous as a drama filming location. In the coastal caves, you can see the caves that the Japanese army forcibly made to the Jeju residents. It is a trench made to protect the kamikaze airfield in the war against the US Navy and warships.
Songaksan Mountain was used by the Japanese military as a stepping stone for invasion of China during World War II, so traces of runways and airship hangars remain. Fifteen trenches from that period remain beneath the sea cliffs.

From the observatory, you can see the southernmost Marado (aka Marado) and Gapado Island very close.

  • Daepo Haean Jusangjeolli Cliff - Columnar joints are quadrangular-shaped pillars that look as if they were delicately carved with a sharp carving knife, and are vertical joints that appear in basaltic lava flows. It was formed as a result of the contraction of thick lava flowing from a crater and rapidly cooling. You can enjoy the mystery of nature as the hexagonal stone pillars standing on top of each other, like a stack of stairs, are surrounded like a folding screen. The waves crashing against the pillars are also a sight to behold, and in severe cases, a ‘show’ soaring more than 20m in height is unfolded, taking the viewer’s breath away. The Jusangjeolli Cliff in the Jungmun-Daepo Coast boasts the largest scale in Korea with a height of 30 to 40m and a width of about 1km, and is designated as Jeju Island Natural Monument No. 443.
  • Jeju 1100 Altitude Wetland - If you enter the trail entrance across from the 1100 Hill rest area, there is a nature learning trail installed with a wooden deck where you can look around the 1100 Hill wetland once. In this wetland, water is stored between rocks formed by lava, and various aquatic plants grow in between. Lichens, which cover rocks in white, are the first plants to appear on the ground and absorb nutrients and minerals from air, snow, and rain. In this wetland, Tadpole and Matsutake, which can be seen in lowlands, and white potato development herbs and yellow frog parsley, which can be found in relatively high places, as well as chicken orchids, bigfinch eggs, and mountain swallow eggs are also growing. In the tree and shrub community, various species such as water oak, Jeju bamboo, yew, and ash are distributed. It is a 20-minute wooden walkway that anyone of any age or gender can easily take a walk, and there is a cafe where you can enjoy the view of Hallasan Mountain.
