- Serra de Agua - Serra de \’Agua\’s name is derived from the historical construction of a watermill used for sawmilling, that was named serra de \’agua, and later became applied to the entire parish. Wood was the first of livelihood and income for the early settlers to Madeira, and due to the abundance of vegetation in Serra de \’Agua the sawmills, commercial exportation of wood was very profitable.

Your journey begins with a pickup from your lodging and takes you to Serra d’Água - a stunning valley nestled in the heart of Madeira, boasting tremendous sea cliffs and breathtaking landscapes. Your guide will navigate you through the historic forest paths to Ginjas, Paúl da Serra, Fanal, and Porto Moniz. There, you’ll have the opportunity to dip into volcanic lava pools, explore Seixal and São Vicente, capture memorable photos and discover quaint villages.
Enjoy this intimate group outing with a maximum of 8 individuals per vehicle.

Fun day exploring the north part of the Island. - I really enjoyed my tour. Pick up was easy, guide was great! Scenery fantastic and we got to hike a few times and swim twice. I would recommend!!

Amazing day! - Amazing day spent with Duarte in his 4x4 jeep. So many varied parts of the island covered, especially the off road section! Lots of interesting information about the fauna and flora of each height level we visited.A well organised trip with a great lunch option, fantastic viewpoint stops and Duarte’s obvious love of the island. A great day!

Off Roading/ Terrific Views/ Amazing Swims- Must Do - Fantastic day in Madeira!!! City family off roading in the mud was fun w the most perfect views of the northern part of the island… and that was only the first part- morning
Second half of tour was visiting two villages for swimming and lunch, including a black sand beach w fabulous views of waterfalls coming into the Atlantic Ocean.
A must do- while on vacation in beautiful Madeira.

Great experience, great guide - Elias was a great guide, had wonderful time. You wont regret it. My only recommendation would be to pack anti-nausea if you get motion sickness easily.

Great day trip to see the Island. - We had an amazing experience. This was certainly a unique adventure and a great way to view the more remote and natural parts of Maderia. Truly breathtaking mountainous beauty and diverse terrain.
Our guide Henrique was great. Even my 69 year old mother had a great time. The 4X4 roads were quite steep but our guide was excellent at navigating them so that we felt safe. We learned about about the area and enjoyed the company of fellow travelers in our group. Would suggest packing layers as the weather can be different around the island.

Great day - Our trip was great we had Filipe as our driver and guide and he was friendly, funny and so knowledgeable. He showed us plants and herbs growing along the way and knew so much about where we were. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for a fun day out. Even the other drivers of the jeeps were friendly and made us laugh throughout the day.

Madeira the adrenaline way - This is a wonderful way to explore the island and experience some of the off road areas at the same time. It is great value for money and you learn lots of information relating to the real Madeira. We have knocked off one star as we felt our driver could have been a little slower up the off road section - it appeared rushed. In overtaking four other jeeps, he made some of us feel a little unnerved and more difficult to stand up at the back of the jeep.
