A little considerations - It was very fun but something you need to be ready for. I didn’t choose the ATV buggy option but the driver will still take you there and show you the menu which is much more expensive than booking online. The driver was good with us saying “no thanks” and wasn’t pushing it. The toilet there is extremely dirty with the toilet seat broken in to half. Then off to the dune bashing which was fun but can be very rough as you would expect. My son was sitting at the back and a wheel spanner flew up and hit his face. My wife hit her elbow hard and skin peeled off a tiny bit. No major injury, so we didn’t complain but something that you need to be aware of. Definitely not recommend if you have neck or back problems. The front number plate flew away so that can tell you how rough it can be. Sand boarding was fun sliding down but exhausting climbing back up. Definitely not for an unfit or old people. My 7 year old enjoyed sliding down but I had to go down the hill and climb back up with his board. When you climb up, you will be breathing hard and inhaling the sand. Then off to the “camp”. It is outdoor in the open desert. No warning until you get there. The temperature on the desert can get very cold after sunset. The driver told us before we left the car but that’s too late if you didn’t bring a jumper from the hotel. If you didn’t bring the jumper, it’s not the end of the world as you can buy a blanket there but something to be aware of. There were 2 areas, poor people’s area and rich (VIP) area. They’ll try to sell the VIP area but we couldn’t see much difference apart from you sit on the cushion (poor) or the chair with a table (VIP). VIP will be served with a meal first but we could wait. Henna tattoo was included but only for a tiny one. You’ll be provided with a menu and pick the nice design then you’ll get told that the nice ones are at extra cost. The lady was friendly at first but as soon as you choose not to get the extra ones, she’ll suddenly shut her mouth and suddenly make you feel unwelcomed. We found that’s normal in Dubai. The food was ok but people will come to you non stop to sell all different kind of stuff. Dance was good but there was no belly dance during Ramadan which you’ll only get told by the driver on the day. The driver gave us a good advice that if we stay till the end of the show, we could end up behind all other cars and get stuck in the traffic getting out of the camp. Need to get out while the last dance is still going. Overall, it was a fun and interesting experience but some little things like bring your jumper and watch out for a flying spanner will make it more enjoyable.
