Additional Information

Embark on a day filled with exploration and immersed in history as we tread on paths less travelled, offering exceptional insights into Portugal’s history and modern times.

Our journey takes us to the city of Silves where you have the opportunity to explore the majestic cathedral and traverse the slender lanes (entry charges apply).

Next, we climb towards the Monchique Mountain, home to the enchanting spa town of Caldas de Monchique, known for its medicinal spring waters. Meandering along the serpentine road, we reach the apex of the Algarve - Fóia, standing imperially at 902m from sea level.

The trip then descends from Fóia, journeying through the expanse of the country, leading us to the quaint hamlet of Marmelete where you can savour a meal at the local dining establishments (meals provided).

Following our delightful meal, our travels take us directly to Costa Vicentina, featuring some of the most impressive beaches.

Algarve a la carte tour - We booked the Algarve a la carte tour through the Cerro mar garden Hotel representative in Albufeira. Our tour guide was Tom. He was absolutely amazing! His knowledge of the various sites and destinations was very impressive. As we drove from one town/site to the other, Tom would give us in-depth details ( historical, cultural, geographical) and that’s what made the tour so interesting and fun. Tom’s good sense of humour was an added plus to the whole tour. I must admit that standing near the enormous cliffs at Cape st. Vincent and Sagres was the highlight of our tour.

Amazing Experience - A fantastic day! Our guide Carlos was great, very friendly. He even stopped at a roadside stand for a couple of us to buy oranges! Having the chance to see the countryside and west coast beaches did not disappoint. Breathtaking!

Loved loved loved this Algarve Tour - We had the most amazing trip with Vasco! He was so knowledgeable and shared so many insights as well as jokes. A pleasure to have him as our guide. Also highly recommend the tour itself. Rich in landscape, culture and local life. The beaches were our favourite. The lunch was also fantastic and more than we expected. If you want to have a high quality experience in a comfortable car with a small group don't hesitate to book this tour.

Excellent !!!! - We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Driver/guide Peter being knowledgeable made the tour interesting of the Monchique mountains and west coast beaches/scenery. We saw parts of Portugal which we would have missed with or without a car. The lunch included at a local restaurant was also good. Would highly recommend.

Truly a "must do" tour for everyone - Super beautiful and eventful tour through the hinterland of the Algarve via the west coast to the "last bridal sausage before America"😄 and back. The tour was with a minibus and 7 compatriots who spoke the same language. Our driver and tour guide Vasko (Obrigado again) showed us and explained a lot of things, which made it an interesting and fun tour! If we had any questions or just wanted to take a great picture, they just stopped and explained and showed us in peace. That's just not possible on tours with huge buses. We can only recommend this tour to everyone! €90 is completely reasonable, especially as it includes a really great and delicious lunch 😋 in a small local restaurant where the locals also stop. Obrigado Vasko, for the great, eventful Algarve a la Card tour! 🙋‍♂️🙋‍♀️

Algarve tour - Enjoyed our tour even though we were initially delayed by other passengers due to their miscom which was a bit tiresome. Peter was a good driver and guide and we managed to see Algarve and learn the history.
