Through their troubled history, the Yezidis have endured 74 instances of genocide due to their religious beliefs. Remarkably, this community has managed to virtually safeguard their language, cultural heritage, and religion. Owing to Georgian people’s tolerance, Yezidis, along with other ethnic groups residing in Georgia, feel secure and most have become full-fledged citizens.
