Additional Information

The Tirana tour is exceptional as it offers a deep dive into the history of one of Europe’s most fascinating capitals. It encompasses all the essentials you’ll need throughout your stay in Tirana, ranging from Museums showcasing varied cultural and economic aspects, churches, mosques, marketplaces, restaurants, bars, souvenir stores, and local places. Tirana stands out for its fusion of diverse cultures displayed in its architectural design, influenced by the Ottoman era, Italian period, communist regime to the recent modern structures. An interesting highlight to note is the exploration of communist tyranny. Remarkably, Albania was once the only Eastern European communist nation that was excessively isolated, and the only one devoid of churches and mosques. The remarkable hospitality of the Tirana locals is certainly noteworthy.

Excellent and interesting experience! - Adi is so kind and knowledgeable! The tour of Tirana was very interesting, and feels personalized for each guest and their interests. It gave a great overview of the city's history, both past and present. Having a tour guide through the Bunk'Art 2 museum was also very helpful. Adi also gave good recommendations for food and other places to check out. He was a great resource even after the tour was over!

Worth seeing - Partly a super modern city, a meeting point for many cultures, guided tours are offered at the central square, Skanderbeg Square. Unfortunately, "our" guide was a bit too politically polemic instead of telling us something about the buildings and their history
