The most amazing experience - Thank you Nichan! - This tour changed our holiday to Morocco from nice to absolutely spectacular. Sleeping in the desert is a once in a lifetime experience that will stay with us forever. It is a very long journey from Agadir to the camp especially in the intense heat, but well worth it. Our driver and guide Nichan was fantastic from beginning to end. He looked after us as if we were his good friends. He was very chatty and informative and generally interesting to talk to. Chatting away the long car journey went very quickly. On the way there and back we stopped at a number of beautiful places, some on our request and some on Nichan's suggestion and had really delicious local food, teas and coffees. The camp in the desert is basic but it all adds to the experience. The toilet facilities are "rustic" and you need to be willing to make allowances for the fact that you are in the middle of the desert.I normally don't even consider the idea of camping but would do this tour again in a heartbeat. The location of the camp is stunning and allows everybody to enjoy the amazing desert atmosphere. In the evening we had a lovely tagine dinner and enjoyed music by the bonfire. When we went to bed it was too hot to sleep in the tent so we all moved our mattresses outside and slept literally under the stars. And what a fantastic experience that was! The camp staff was very welcoming and helpful, ensuring that we had all we needed even sleeping outdoors, including the blankets we didn't believe we would need but ended up using in the small hours. On the practicalities, booking was really easy, we just exchanged Whatsapp messages using the contact details on the site and were given all the details we needed including costs. We then made the booking in the same way and paid on the day of the trip. Pick up was prompt at the time we were given and everything worked perfectly. Thank you!

Once in a lifetime experience! - An amazing trip that went without problems and in fact exceeded our expectations. Our driver and guide Hassan was a fun but also educated guy who did his job well along with his cousin and sidekick Mustafa. The trip packs a lot into 2 days and is for the adventurous who don’t mind an active holiday and something different. We stopped at several places with beautiful scenery, explored local culture a bit, had philosophic conversations and some good tagines to eat wherever we went. The desert camp itself is a magnificent place with incredible views, friendly company and tranquil environment. We were greeted with great hospitality, invited to join in for some songs/dances around the bonfire and watched stars without the light pollution. We slept in tents that had mattresses and reasonably warm blankets. It was quite comfortable, however you should know that it can get chilly in the desert at night, so prepare accordingly. If you can’t deal with no running water and no heated room for one night, this trip isn’t for you. For everyone else, I would most definitely recommend as you will be getting so much more out of your vacation than you would by staying in cities/hotels. Cheers Hassan & Mustafa!

Be careful what exactly you book! Poor communication. - We took the 3 day 2 night desert trip from Agadir, but we wanted to book the hotel and camp our self (at our cost), which the company agreed to. We sent both hotel and tent-camp addresses to the company weeks in advance. However on the morning of the trip we were driven to their office to pay the full amount in advance, and where the manager very angrily told us that they refuse to drive us to the tent-camp in Erg Chegaga. Citing it was too far and too difficult for their 4WD car. (how do other people get there?), or that they would only drive us there if we would pay a lot more, which we refused to do on principle. We did not understand why they waited until the first day of the trip to tell us this. After much discussion they offered us a tent camp near M'hamid on their costs. On day 2 of the trip the manager abruptly informed us we would not take the scenic route from Ourzazate to the desert as described on their website, but a much shorter route. Though we didn't mind taking the shorter route, again, we were confronted with this at the last minute. Though we appreciate the gesture of giving us a free stay at their tent-camp, it did not make up for the disappointment of having been so close to Erg Chegaga, yet not experiencing it. The tent camp was in the location Erg Lidhoui (about 10 km north of M'hamid) which has very few and very small dunes, and several others camps close to it, so no real desert feel. On top of this, the tent camp personnel were trying to sell us an extra night's trip to Erg Chegaga "to see the real dunes"! (We already had onward bookings and could not extend our stay.) We were happy with our driver Ilyas who was polite, punctual and drove professionally. The car was in ok condition, and the portable wifi was a welcome amenity on a long trip. But I doubt I would use this company again due to the poor communication by the two managers, Rachid and Achraf.
