200% recommended!!!! - We did the turtle nesting tour with guide Elian on our first day in Tortuguero. It was unbeatable. Elian is a true professional when it comes to turtle species in Costa Rica, he provided us with a lot of information and answered all of our questions.
We were lucky enough to see turtles emerge from the sea and experience the green turtle nesting just a few centimeters away.
An incredible experience with total respect for nature and these extraordinary beings.

Mandatory stop if you visit during the spawning season - It is a wonderful experience that is worth seeing once in a lifetime. We were lucky and were able to observe it up close since it was spawning season and during a full moon. Also, the next day we chanced upon some baby turtles that were hatching, so we really enjoyed the experience.

A most intense and beautiful experience on Tortuguero with Don Chico Tours - Our guide Luís was super professional, commited and nice. He lead the group to the right spots on the beach and provide us the previlege to watch several giant turtles on the different stages of the nestling process. An experience I will never forget. Besides that je shared lota of most interesting information about the turtles life cicle, the challenges they face and the survival conditions. We highly recommend this tour with Don Chico!

Unforgetable experience - We did the turtle watching tour, Luis was punctual, kind, respectful, enjoyable, interesting, informative. I went with my 9-year-old daughter, she took into consideration her pace, always tried to ensure that she didn't miss anything, she made it an unforgettable experience. He was always respectful of the turtles and their process, maintaining appropriate distances and times with them so as not to stress them. As a biologist with experience working with turtles, I think Luis did an excellent job. Thanks Luis!

Amazing experience - Amazing experience! Thanks to Luis' experience and knowledge we saw a turtle laying the eggs, covering them up and returning to the sea! Highly recommended.
