In 2019, the Tully River was the host venue for the International Rafting Federation’s World Rafting Championships. Renowned globally, this river ensures a peak rafting adventure, boasting over 40 rapids that surge through a magnificent rainforest gorge. Rated as a Grade 4/5 river, the Tully promises an intense, unforgettable journey for those hunting for the ultimate rafting experience in Australia.
We offer two distinct schedules to enjoy the Tully River, which you can view below; these two are identical except for their respective departure times. The Tully River operates on a hydro power system, hence scheduled activities depend on the water release timings.
- Children aged 13-18 years require a parent or guardians counter signature on waiver form
- Please bring lace-up shoes (that WILL get wet), swim suit and towel, a change of dry clothes, and waterproof sunscreen
- Minimum age is 13 years
- Not suitable for anyone who may be pregnant

Ecstatic!!🤩🤩 - The best experience ever. The guides were super super friendly and funny, entertained us so well and took great care of us. Special thanks to our Tully guide Ash who made sure we didn't tip over but gave us excellent flow through the little falls maxing out our adrenaline rush haha! The cliff diving in the middle and floating in the water was sooo much fun too!! Thank you sooooo much!! Special thanks to the photographer lady who kept chasing after us to capture candid moments!! ❤️

Most exciting part of our vacation! (with teenagers) - It was our best day in Cairns! Our family of 5, with 3 teenagers, loved it. The grade 3 & 4 rapids were not for the faint of heart. On the first rapid 2 people flew out-- luckily the guide jumped back in after only a few seconds, but it was crazy. I got a helmet smack to my face (which is why you sign all the waivers), so if you love adventure this is for you-- if you don't, then I'd recommend the tubing tour. A little more than halfway, I ended up heading to the bus early while my husband and teenagers finished the tour. Our guide Andy and staff were all very nice and helpful and made the trip fun with great stories and were caring when they saw my bloody nose (which wasn't major luckily). We enjoyed the burgers and slide show afterward as well. Everything turned out just fine-- but if you are more of a "old lady" at heart like me, you've been warned!:)

Highly recommend!! - This tour was so so fun! I felt totally safe while still getting the adrenaline rush I wanted. They pick you up right from the hostel. As a 24 year-old solo traveler, this was a fun tour to meet other travelers my age and see Tully River. Our guide (Angelo) was great with telling us what to do while making it fun. You stop for lunch on the way up and dinner on the way home which was great.

Perfect day - Would recommend 10/10, went with my partner and our guide was being really helpful. One thing is that the place for changing after the ride was not the best and lack of privacy

Best fun ever! - White water rafting was always on my list of things to do and at 61 I finally got around to it. Daz was our guide and ran through the instructions which weren't complicated. Then we took off and I hadn't laughed so much in ages. It was so much fun, a fantastic day out.

Tully River White Water Rafting - Amazing day out on the river with our guide Tom and our 4 river raft buddies. An experience well worth taking. All the team were very friendly, it like its and experience for them instead of a job.

Great day out! - Great day out!! Fantastic crew with great vibes and banter. Our particular guide had a great sense of humour and with learning that we were keen for some adrenalin navigated us through some of the more challenging parts on the rapids.
I bought this as a birthday gift for my partner - he loved it!!
