Amazing experience - Amazing experience with our guide Bruno. It was fun, refreshing and a bit challenging, but not too hard. We were only four of us in the group. Two adults and two girls, 13 + 16 and they enjoyed it very much as well. We can highly recommend.

An incredible experience! - This was an incredible experience! Bruno and Morgan were very helpful and friendly and although the water was colder and I was pushed out of my comfort zone, it was fantastic and I'm glad we did it! I would recommend this to anyone!

Fantastic first rafting for the kids! - We had such a great family adventure rafting with our great guide on the grade 2 rapids. The kids are 5 and 7 and had never been rafting before. The level is perfect for young kids, enough splash and bumping to be exciting but without being too scary! There are several rapids along the route and during the rest of the float the views are lovely. We also got the chance to jump from cliffs and swim in the refreshing water. I love rafting and it was such a lovely experience for us to do together!

A great birthday treat for my 10 year old! - I booked this trip for my son's 11th birthday and he loved it. It was a perfect trip for first time rafters like us and our guide was fantastic, teaching us how to raft safely and have fun. As a family, we all enjoyed it very much, particularly my son who jumped off the boulder and cliff again and again. Thanks to the team at Wellington rafting. Looking forward to receiving the photos!

Awesome day out - I've done both the grade 2 and 3 trips and will be back again for their canyoning in the future for sure. Hamish and his team of guides were excellent both time, great safety talk and commentary throughout the raft. Warm gear during a freezing day for my g2 and during my summer g3. Easy meeting point at the new workshop literally 2 min from the motorway on the way to upper hutt. Grade 2 would be great for families, non-confident swimmers and even the adrenalin junkies (5 and 3 metre jumping opportunities) and you get to swim in a waterfall. Grade 3 is definitely more physically demanding but soooooo much fun. great half day out.

White water rafting - Booked late by phone, but that wasn't a problem. John our guide was fantastic. He understood I was nervous and made sure I was OK throughout.

10/10 would recommend - Hamish and Jon are amazing, and this excursion was well worth the price paid! Thank you so much for working so nicely with our cruise ship schedule and for coordinating pickup and drop off! The weather had been especially favorable for a level 3 raft instead so Hamish emailed in advance and offered the opportunity to upgrade so we wouldn’t miss some great rapids that are not always available! The rafting experience was amazing, so incredibly beautiful, and something I wish we had time to get right back on and do again! Very outside my normal comfort zone, but you all made it seem easy and made all of us feel safe! Thank you for the flipping good time!

Could be better value - Enjoyed the experience overall. However fell short of a 5 star rating as we felt the time allocation was too short and not worth the price paid for the tour. We also paid $40 NZD for the photos and were told there would be 50-60 photos but we only had 20 taken. Equipment provided was good and our safety was taken seriously. We were picked up and dropped off at the CBD having come from the cruise ship. To get the 5 stars, it would have been better if we had 2 rounds of the river to enjoy and get used to the process being mostly first time rafters. We spent about 1 hour in the water end to end with most of the time taken up stopping to take photos.
