Departing from your hotel at 9 am, we will explore the glacial valleys situated along the National Route. Our journey will begin with a stop at the Carbajal valley viewpoint, providing us with a chance to interpret and appreciate a segment of Fuegian geography. We will then visit a nearby Winter Center, where we will delve into a brief discussion about our current location over a warm and pleasing mountain coffee, followed by a light snack. Here, we also have the chance to tour a husky and Alaskan dog kennel, take photographs and stroll short distances through the neighboring woods. Our excursion continues as we traverse peat valleys, tiny glaciers, cross-country skiing venues, and snow activity centers, including the Cerro Castor alpine ski complex. We will also encounter waterfalls and sites altered by beaver activity. Lastly, we will pause at the Garibaldi Pass Viewpoint to take in the breathtaking panoramas of Lake Escondido, Lake Fagnano, and the surrounding landscapes.
