Highlights
  • Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna - Vienna’s world-famous Kunsthistorisches Museum is an architectural marvel and is a must-see for any art lover visiting Vienna. The museum developed from the art collections of the House of Habsburg and hosts a unique collection of some of the world’s most famous painters from Raphael and Rembrandt to Vermeer and Rubens and, of course, Peter Breughel the Elder.

Skip the line and join no more than 15 guests on a guided tour of two of the museum’s key exhibitions. From Peter Breughel’s “Tower of Babel” to Vermeer’s “The Art of Painting” you will become acquainted with the old masters at the museum’s Picture Gallery. You will also see some of the Museum’s rarest and oddest items at the Kunstkammer exhibit, like the golden “Saliera” by Celini and the “Madonna of Krumau”.

Knowledgeable and engaging tour guide - 2 plus hours extremely well spent. My guide, Dieter, had a deep knowledge of the museum and its works with great anecdotes and the ability to answer my questions, not to mention a clear love for art. The time passed very quickly and was well worth the money. I can absolutely recommended this tour.

Outstanding guide! - We have taken many tours through the years, and we do have to say that Brenda’s tour was thorough, wonderfully done, very informative and just all around spectacular! Her tour was one of the best if not the best we have ever had. She is a wealth of information, knows how it ties into history as well as very pleasant and respectful. A wonderful combination of qualities. Although I’m more of history and cultural buff than my partner, Brenda kept both of us very motivated and had us asking many questions, that is very appreciated. Our warm regards to Brenda and wish her happiness and success. Viator, you have an excellent guide!

OK - There are seats in several galleries. Please encourage the tour guides to have clients sit when they are talking about the art.
