100% Recommend - My husband and I were fortunate enough to book a sunset cruise on the Douro River for our anniversary on September 18th. It was well worth it. Captain Anselmo and his first mate, Pedro, treated us to bottles of wine and gourmet cheeses, meats and crudites while playing our favorite music. They were both very friendly, and provided us with a historical tour of the sites and bridges as we cruised past Porto. Anselmo took us a little ways out into the Atlantic for an excellent view and photos of the setting sun. Following the cruise, he gave us a recommendation for a fantastic nearby local restaurant. If you get the opportunity to take this cruise, we highly recommend it.

A wonderful experience - What a great trip! Just 6 of us on the boat, and so well looked after during our 2 hours sailing up to the Douro bridges and then down to the ocean. Good wine and good explantations of the sites seen on the way. Not bombarded with too much info, so you have plenty of time to just observe and contemplate. We didn't get a great sunset due to the overcast weather conditions but it didn't really matter. The changing hues of the sky and ocean were still magnificent to watch. Well worth paying the extra for the comfort, intimacy and zenitude of the experience.

Superior Yacht Sunset Cruise on Douro River - This private sunset tour on the Duoro River with Selmo and crew was fantastic.
