Visoko, a charming petite town situated in the heart of Bosnia, was once an early hub for the Bosnian medieval government and was the location of the coronation of Bosnia’s first king, Tvrtko I. Positioned on the Bosnia River, Visoko has recently gained recognition due to the Bosnian pyramids and Semir Osmanagić, the mastermind behind this discovery project.
The pyramid excursion spans approximately 4-5 hours, with the departure schedule being flexible. The journey to Visoko takes about 45 minutes during which the tour guide provides a basic introduction to the town, its history, and the pyramids. This tour features two key places of interest. Visočica is a hill that grants a panoramic view of Visoko. Semir Osmanagić alleges that Visočica, along with several neighboring hills, hide pyramids beneath them. Hence, the tour initially takes visitors to the tunnels beneath Visočica with a knowledgeable guide, and then proceeds to explore the stone blocks on Visočica hill.
