The tour guide will recount to you the significant era (1866-1913), when Crete broke free from Turkish oppression and established its sovereignty. You’ll visit historic sites pivotal to the island’s liberation, such as the Arkadi Monastery, as well as traditional villages inhabited by political and spiritual influencers of the time. Following that, you’ll explore an extensive subterranean cave of 270 meters and visit a farm situated at the Psiloritis mountain base, for a unique eco-tourism experience.
