Airport - Kandy

Kandy - Upon your arrival at Bandaranayake International Airport in Katunayake and one of our representatives will meet and greet you at the Airport then who will take you to Kandy and check into the hotel. Afterward, you will stay at relaxing and be reminded of the day.

Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic - You will visit the Temple of Tooth Relic in Kandy.

The sacred tooth of the Buddha which is a famous pilgrimage site, one of the most famous Buddhist temples in the world, which was built to protect the sacred tooth relic thought to belong to Lord Buddha, which has been enshrined in Sri Lanka for hundreds of years As well as a host of other temples, visitors to the city can wander along Kandy Lake.

Kandy - Sigiriya/Dambulla

Sigiriya - Enjoy your breakfast, then you will pack your belongings and head to Dambulla and Sigiriya to visit Sigiriya Lion Rock and Dambulla Cave Temple.

Dambulla - On the way, you will visit Dambulla Cave Temple.

Dambulla cave temple is also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla is a World Heritage Site(1991) in Sri Lanka, situated in the central part of the country. It is the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. The rock towers 160 m over the surrounding plains.There are more than 80 documented caves in the surrounding area. Major attractions are spread over 5 caves, which contain statues and paintings.

Sigiriya The Ancient Rock Fortress - On completion, you will visit Sigiriya Lion Rock,

Sigiriya is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a spectacular Rock Fortress, is one of Sri Lanka’s major attractions. The most impressive facets of the unique complex are the Water Gardens, the Frescoes of beautiful maidens, the Mirror Wall with ancient graffiti, the Lion platform and the Summit of 1.6 hectares, which was completely covered by buildings during the period of Sigiriya’s glory. Built by King Kashyapa (477-495 A.D), the “Lion Rock” is a citadel of unusual beauty rising 200m from the scrub jungle. The rock was the innermost stronghold of the
70 hectare fortified town and the base is ringed by a moat, rampart, and extensive gardens. The world-renowned frescoes (originally 500, of which only 19 remain today) which are in a sheltered pocket of the rock approached by a spiral stairway are painted in earth pigments on plaster.

Galle

Galle - You have some breakfast, today you will proceed to Galle before midday, for the observing Galle.

A city on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka. It is known for Galle Fort, the fortified old city founded by Portuguese colonists in the 16th century. Stone seawalls, expanded by the Dutch, encircle car-free streets with architecture reflecting Portuguese, Dutch and British rule. Notable buildings include the 18th-century Dutch Reformed Church. Galle Lighthouse stands on the fort’s southeast tip. Built by the Dutch, beginning in 1663, Galle’s core is the Fort, a walled enclave surrounded on three sides by the ocean. A key part of the Fort’s appeal is that it isn’t just a pretty place. Sure, tourism now dominates the local economy, but this unique city remains a working community: there are administrative offices and courts, export companies, schools and colleges.

Galle - Hikkaduwa

Hikkaduwa - Today the entire day is kept by Hikkaduwa Beach.

Foreign and local tourists come to see the famous “coral gardens” of Hikkaduwe, for the tourist who doesn’t like to get their feet wet glass bottom boats are available while others snorkel to reach them which are filled with brightly coloured corals and marine life.

Colombo - Airport

Colombo - Today you have a final breakfast, proceed to Colombo to do a magnificent city tour.

Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka, has a long history as a port on ancient east-west trade routes, ruled successively by the Portuguese, Dutch and British. That heritage is reflected in its its architecture, mixing colonial buildings with high-rises and shopping malls. The imposing Colombo National Museum, dedicated to Sri Lankan history, borders sprawling Viharamahadevi Park and its giant Buddha. Colombo, the commercial capital of Sri Lanka and the largest city in Sri Lanka, once served as an important seaport for trade between the East and the West. Situated on the west coast of the country, Colombo is a vibrant and busy urban metropolis that boasts of all the mod-cons of today’s world in addition to some traditions of a bygone era, still alive and waiting to be experienced.

Katunayake - On completion, you will proceed to Katunayake depending on your departure flight, leave Colombo and transfer to Airport for departure.

Travel in Srilanka made easy by Ceylon - To enjoy Sri Lanka to its fullest you need a very reliable car + driver service. We were very lucky with Ceylon Travels, our driver cum guide Kasun was very polite, punctual, humble and knew the roads extremely well. The car was also very comfortable. He came on time as per our itinerary and made sure we reached on time for all our excursions. Also he was very spoken and a lovely guide to have for the entire trip.
