• Mount Chortiatis - The hiking adventure begins in Chortiatis village. Participants will follow the Icemakers Path, the most frequented trail on Chortiatis Mountain. This path is named after the villagers who, on frigid winter nights, would ascend the mountain to create ice, which they then sold to the affluent families in Thessaloniki.

Upon reaching Chortiatis Refuge, which is open only on weekends, hikers can unwind in the outdoor area, enjoying the refreshing shade of the trees and the melodious birdsong while sipping on a cup of coffee and savoring a delicious snack.

The journey continues to Kolosourtis Peak, offering breathtaking views of Thessaloniki, Thermaikos Bay, and, on clear days, Mount Olympus. The hike concludes with a return to Chortiatis village.

The trail spans approximately 8-10 km with an elevation gain of 400 meters.
