Good experience - The bus tour and narration of the city was informative. The city was in the midst of setting up for a festival but even with the closed streets and heavy traffic on the route the ride good. Well worth the money.

Nice option when visiting from a cruise ship - The advantage of taking the Hop On Hop Off is getting an idea of the sights in Riga before deciding your activities for the day. One of the main criticisms of the bus tour is the lack of signs for where it stops.

When it's cold outside, it's better to take a bus tour - Some days ago we've been in Riga for some days, and we decided to do the Hop on hop off tour. Because of the weather we just stayed in bus and made both of tour lines one after other. Very beautiful city, tour was interesting, nice audioguide. Mediocre to don’t waste your time - The driver was about as friendly as a rabid porcupine. Charm school is missing a student right now. There is no time schedule for these buses. Trying to get a straight answer on timing is crazy. They gave out a lot of bad information and you waste more time waiting for a bus with no time schedule. I found myself thinking of timing versus enjoying the time. Downloading bolt would have been cheaper, time effective and allow you to enjoy the day. My candid response.

Disappointing - We are used to discover a city with this kind of bus because it allows to have a comment in French. what disappointed us is the schedule "high season"!!; We took the 1st bus at 9:45. The tour lasts about 1 hour. Which we did fortunately. According to the brochure in "high season" (we are in August) there is a bus every 30 minutes (sometimes 10 min late). First bad surprise we waited more than an hour to catch the bus (after our visit to the Cathedral of the Nativity). What a waste of time to visit. We finally got a bus at 3:40. Arriving at the Check-out point at 4pm, the driver told us it was the last lap. The last round starts at 14:45 and ends at 16:00!! This is the first time that such a tour is done between 9.45am and 4pm, in the other cities tested (Brussels, Dublin, Oxford..) the last tour is at 6pm. Really disappointing. Even if it is cheaper than in the other islands, it is not worth the Award given.

Dissapointing - Not a good experience. The salesman was rude, driver of the bus didn’t speak english. Bus was run down. One of our headphones were not working. The route was nice tho, got good insight of what was worth visiting.

Underwhelming and overpriced - I bought the excursion to do a leisurely ride around the relevant places in Riga and to hear some interesting information. I was dissapointed in both: considerable part of the ride was through run-down areas without any interest whatsoever (like the place where Eurovision contest was held). Much worse was the fact that the information thread held long pauses, sometimes with music, sometimes just silence. I cannot believe that there was so little to tell about the city of such old and rich history.
