Geysir - The Geysir geothermal area boasts spouting springs, including Strokkur, the most active geyser in Iceland.

Gullfoss Waterfall - At Gullfoss you are given the opportunity to stand next to the amazing waterfall, watching enormous quantities of water tumble violently into a deep, meandering gorge.

South Iceland

Skogafoss - Skógafoss is an iconic Icelandic waterfall, it is the starting point of the Fimmvörðuháls hiking trail over into Þórsmörk. The waterfall was also used in filming Thor: The Dark World and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.

Seljalandsfoss - Seljalandsfoss is part of the Seljalandsá river, which has its origins in Eyjafjallajökull glacier. What makes Seljalandsfoss so famous and interesting is that you can walk behind it. We recommend you bring either a raincoat or a waterproof coat along if you want to walk behind it.

Glacier Lagoon - Huge blocks of ice constantly break off the glacier, Breiðamerkurjökull, and large icebergs float on the lagoon. The lagoon is not very wide but it is up to 250 meters deep which makes it the deepest lake in Iceland. Breiðamerkurjökull is an outlet of the Vatnajökull glacier

Fellsfjara - The Diamond Beach is a strip of black sand located by Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon. Here, the icebergs which fill Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon wash up on shore, standing dazzling and defiant in stark contrast to the black sand beach.

Vik - Vík is a charming village surrounded by high beautiful bird cliffs. Population: 300

Reynisfjara Beach - We will also stop at Reynisfjara black sand beach, with the Reynisdrangar rock formations and columnar basalt. It is one of the most spectacular beaches in Iceland but can be dangerous, and we kindly ask our guest not to go too close to the ocean and go by guidelines.

Reynisdrangar - Reynisdrangar are basalt sea stacks just off the coast of Reynisfjara

Dimmuborgir Lava Formations - Dimmuborgir is a large area of unusually shaped lava fields east of Mývatn in Iceland. The Dimmuborgir area is composed of various volcanic caves and rock formations, reminiscent of an ancient collapsed citadel (hence the name). The dramatic structures are one of Iceland’s most popular natural tourist attractions.

Námaskarð - Námaskarð Pass is a geothermal area on the mountain Námafjall, in north Iceland, less than half an hour’s drive from Lake Mývatn. It is located by Route 1, which encircles the country. Connected to the Krafla volcano system, Námaskarð is home to many hot springs and fumaroles.

Grjotagja Cave - Grjótagjá is a small lava cave near lake Mývatn in Iceland. It has a thermal spring inside. In early 18th century the outlaw Jón Markússon lived there and used the cave for bathing. Until the 1970s Grjótagjá was a popular bathing site.

Grjótagjá was used as a location for filming the fifth episode of the third season of Game of Thrones, called “Kissed by Fire”.

Lake Myvatn - Proceed from Dalvík. Stop at Goðafoss Waterfall. Drive to Lake Mývatn area. Stop at Dimmuborgir lava field. Optional extra to bath in Mývatn Nature Baths.
