Highlights

Arrival - Arusha

Arusha - Arrive at Kilimanjaro airport, where our Airport office representative will meet and greet you. They will assist with any Visa or passport control issues. Afterward, you will be welcomed to our office for refreshments, where you will meet your guide. Then, transfer to Arusha for dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.

Arusha is a city in Tanzania, East Africa, located at the base of volcanic Mt. Meru. It serves as a gateway to safari destinations and Africa’s highest peak, 5,895m Mt. Kilimanjaro, which lies about 100 kilometers northeast.

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park - After breakfast at the hotel and a short safari briefing, depart and drive to Tarangire for a full-day game drive in the Tarangire National Park. At lunchtime, your driver will set and prepare a table for a hot meal, including soup, bread rolls, a main dish, and fruit salad, followed by a glass of wine, tea, and coffee. After lunch, continue with a game drive until evening, then drive to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.

Located slightly off the main safari route, Tarangire National Park is a quiet park in Northern Tanzania, famous for its elephant migration, birding, and authentic safari atmosphere. Many travelers either miss Tarangire altogether or only visit for a few hours, leaving parts of the park virtually untouched.

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park - After breakfast at the lodge, enjoy a morning walking safari in the park, escorted by an armed ranger. After the walk, continue with a day game drive in Tarangire National Park until lunchtime. Your driver will set and prepare a table for a hot meal, including soup, bread rolls, a main dish, and fruit salad, followed by a glass of wine, tea, and coffee. After lunch, continue with a game drive until evening, then drive to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Herds of up to 300 elephants scratch the dry riverbed for underground streams. It’s the greatest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem, providing a feast for predators. Tarangire is also the only place in Tanzania where dry-country antelope, such as the stately fringe-eared oryx and peculiar long-necked gerenuk, are regularly observed.

Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara National Park - After breakfast at the lodge, drive to Manyara National Park for a full-day game drive. At lunchtime, your driver will set and prepare a table under our car shade for a hot meal, including soup, bread rolls, a main dish, and fruit salad, followed by a glass of wine, tea, and coffee. After lunch, continue with a game drive until evening, then drive to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Manyara provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife, with more than 400 species recorded. Even first-time visitors to Africa might expect to observe 100 species in one day. Inland of the floodplain, a narrow belt of acacia woodland is the favored haunt of Manyara’s legendary tree-climbing lions and impressively tusked elephants.

Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park - After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park in the central Seronera area for a game drive. At lunchtime, your driver will set and prepare a table for a hot meal, including soup, bread rolls, a main dish, and fruit salad, followed by a glass of wine, tea, and coffee. After lunch, continue with a game drive until evening, then drive to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at the camp.

Serengeti National Park is well known for its healthy stock of resident wildlife, particularly the “big five,” named for the five most prized trophies taken by hunters: Lion, African Leopard, African Elephant, Rhinoceros, and Cape Buffalo. The Serengeti is believed to hold the largest population of lions in Africa, with more than 3,000 lions living in this ecosystem. The African Leopard is commonly seen in the Seronera region, with a population of around 1,000.

Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park - After breakfast, enjoy a full-day game drive in the Serengeti central Seronera area, viewing the great migration. At lunchtime, your driver will find a great spot to set and prepare a table for a hot meal, including soup, bread rolls, a main dish, and fruit salad, followed by a glass of wine, tea, and coffee. You may meet other guests from other companies, but our service is 5-star plus. After lunch, continue with an afternoon game drive, viewing the great migration. In the evening, check in to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Serengeti National Park is well known for its healthy stock of resident wildlife, particularly the “big five.” The Serengeti is believed to hold the largest population of lions in Africa, with more than 3,000 lions living in this ecosystem.

Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park - After breakfast at the lodge/camp, enjoy a full-day game drive in Serengeti National Park, searching for big cats and the “big five.” At lunchtime, your driver will set and prepare a table for a hot meal, including soup, bread rolls, a main dish, and fruit salad, followed by a glass of wine, tea, and coffee. In the late afternoon, drive back to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

A million wildebeest, each driven by the same ancient rhythm, fulfill their instinctive role in the cycle of life. They engage in a frenzied three-week bout of territorial conquests and mating, followed by a survival of the fittest as 40km (25-mile) long columns plunge through crocodile-infested waters on their annual exodus north. This replenishes the species in a brief population explosion that produces more than 8,000 calves daily before the 1,000 km (600-mile) pilgrimage begins again.

Serengeti - Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Ngorongoro Conservation Area - After breakfast at the lodge, enjoy a game drive in Serengeti National Park, searching for big cats and the “big five.” At lunchtime, your driver will set and prepare a table for a hot meal, including soup, bread rolls, a main dish, and fruit salad, followed by a glass of wine, tea, and coffee. In the late afternoon, drive to Ngorongoro for dinner and an overnight stay at the camp.

Magnificent Wildlife

The only living things that truly belong to Africa are the wild animals. There is an understanding between the animals and Africa that humans have not yet earned.

Laurens van der Post, Venture to the Interior, 1963…

Today, the Serengeti National Park, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and the Maasai Mara Game Reserve across the border in Kenya protect the greatest and most varied collection of terrestrial wildlife on earth, and one of the last great migratory systems still intact.

Ngorongoro Crater - Lake Eyasi

Lake Eyasi - After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day crater tour. At lunchtime, your driver will set and prepare a table for a hot meal, including soup, bread rolls, a main dish, and fruit salad, followed by a glass of wine, tea, and coffee. In the evening, depart for Lake Eyasi and stay overnight at the lodge.

The jewel in Ngorongoro’s crown is a deep, volcanic crater, the largest unflooded and unbroken caldera in the world. About 20kms across, 600 meters deep, and 300 sq kms in area, the Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtaking natural wonder. We will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos, and other water birds can usually be seen here.

Bushmen visit - Departure

Lake Eyasi - After breakfast, visit the Datoga and Bushmen tribes and participate in hunting activities. In the afternoon, return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, drive back to Arusha and drop off at the airport.

Small groups of Hadzabe bushmen live around Lake Eyasi. Their language resembles the click languages of other bushmen further south in the Kalahari. Their small population was seriously threatened, particularly during the period when Julius Nyerere tried to introduce his Ujuma policy.

Perfect travel - I was very happy to meet our guide Calvin Kileo. We got along very well. He has rich experience and strong connections. He is a very professional guide. He has good driving skills and is very stable throughout the journey. He can quickly find animals hidden in every corner. He can distinguish the age and state of various animals, and predict what they are going to do. He can also clearly popularize the habits of animals. When he meets other guides or staff on the road, he will also receive a lot of information and help through his connections. Any needs can be met. For example, if you want to see an animal, he will go to find it specifically. If you want to eat something temporarily, he will plan the itinerary immediately. A very pleasant trip.

Honey Moon In Tanzania With Gosheni - We decided to go on our honeymoon to Tanzania and we chose Gosheni for our trip. We did two days in Tarangire, two in the center of the south of the Serengeti, two in the north and two nights in Ngorongoro. They were wonderful days and in each structure with its particularities it was splendid with excellent staff and excellent cuisine. The top, however, is represented by our Leader, Driver and Guide Edward, a wonderful person, who told us about the parks, the animals and also the history of this wonderful country, ready to answer all our questions and always give us new ideas. It's definitely a goodbye and we will recommend Gosheni to anyone who asks us about this trip.

Gosheni and George, a great combination - We had booked with Gosheni Safaris in 2020 , made the down payment but had to cancel due to Covid. Peter wired back our down payment, so there was no question we would use his company when we rebooked for this September, 2023. We were met by our guide George M at Kilimanjaro Airport. George did a lot of the planning with us over the past year as we increased the length of the safari from 7 to 10 days. Our thanks to Peter for personally taking care of a transfer of our luggage. George receives our very highest recommendation as a guide. Everything was as promised and more. He was in constant contact with his colleagues in the field and we Viewed all of the big five and a lot more. The meals in the field were grate as were the high-end accommodations. I sought give six stars if possible. We visited the Gosheni offices and they were beautiful and very well organized. Patrick

Amazing safari experience - This was a bucket list trip for us. I had pretty high expectations. Gosheni Safaris, and particularly our guide, Dennis, blew them away. We saw everything we hoped to. What blew me away was the service level at the lodging places we stayed at, and again, Dennis. For 9 days straight he worked roughly 12 hour days and everything he did was to ensure we had the best experience possible. I have plenty of photos to help me remember what I saw but my best memories will be of the people. Thank you Gosheni for such an amazing experience. I highly recommend Gosheni Safaris.
