Midelt - On the N8 you drive south through the cedar forests around Ifrane and Azrou to the N13. The road takes you into the mountains of the Atlas Mountains to Midelt.
Between Azrou and Midelt you cross the climatic divide of the Atlas Mountains. This means that not only the weather changes, but also the landscape. On the northern side of the Middle Atlas, the route takes you through beautiful green mountains with dense cedar forests and clear mountain lakes. Beyond the Col Ouzad pass at an altitude of 2,178 meters, the foothills of the High Atlas spread out. The transition to the plateaus is marked by bare, rugged mountains dotted with orchards.
