Saqqara (Sakkara) Pyramids - The most notable landmark in Saqqara is the Step Pyramid, the tomb of the Third Dynasty ruler Djoser, built by Imhotep. It is considered the earliest major stone structure in Egypt. The pyramid’s form evolved from the large mastabas (mud-brick tombs) of the First and Second Dynasties. The six steps were created by adding successive layers of masonry to the original mastaba. The Step Pyramid stands 60 meters high and is made of locally quarried clay sandstone. Due to safety concerns, entry into the pyramid is no longer allowed. The interior chambers and passages were used for the burial of the king’s close relatives and for storing grave goods.

Colossi of Memnon - The Colossi of Memnon are two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III, who reigned during the Eighteenth Dynasty. They have stood in the Theban Necropolis for the past 3,400 years, located west of the Nile from modern Luxor.

Temple of Kom Ombo - The Temple of Kom Ombo is a unique double temple in Kom Ombo, Aswan Governorate, Upper Egypt.
