Chengdu - In the morning, your driver and guide will meet you at 8:00am at your Chengdu hotel and transfer you to the Chengdu Panda Base, a 30-minute drive covering 15km.

Giant Panda Breeding Research Base (Xiongmao Jidi) - Your first stop is the Giant Panda Breeding Research Base, home to over 80 of China’s iconic pandas, including both the familiar black and white pandas and the smaller red pandas. You’ll observe these animals in a habitat designed to mimic their natural environment, and learn about the efforts to protect wild pandas and increase the captive population. Since 1987, over 100 pandas have been born at the Base. The Base gained additional importance after the 2008 Sichuan earthquake, when eight pandas were relocated here from the damaged Wolong reserve. Your visit supports ongoing conservation efforts.

Chengdu Renmin Park - Next, visit Renmin Park, a comprehensive garden that combines cultural heritage and entertainment. Locals often relax here by drinking tea. To truly understand the lifestyle in the “Capital of Leisure,” you must visit Renmin Park. The park is always bustling with people enjoying tea, reading, or chatting with friends. Embrace the slow life in Chengdu and feel a sense of happiness.

Jinli Pedestrian Street - After lunch, take a private car to Jinli old street, a lively area filled with local snacks, artifacts, and folk shows. Time seems to slip away as you explore this vibrant street.

Chengdu - Finally, your guide will escort you back to your hotel.

Chengdu–Chongqing by train. O/N Chongqing.

Chengdu - After breakfast at your hotel, your driver and guide will meet you at 9:00am and transfer you to Leshan, a 2.5-hour drive covering 150km.

Leshan Giant Buddha (Da Fo) - Visit the Giant Buddha of Leshan, one of Chinese Buddhism’s holiest sites. Dating back to the 8th century, it is the largest carved stone Buddha and the tallest pre-modern statue in the world. Carved from the cliffs of Lingyun Shan, it was intended to calm the turbulent waters of the three rivers below. Stairs carved into the cliff allow you to view the Buddha from various angles. Enjoy stunning views of the river and Leshan’s skyline. After exploring the Buddha, have lunch at a nearby restaurant and visit Lingyun Temple and Museum to learn more about the site’s history.

Chengdu East Railway Station - Afterward, take a private car to Chengdu East Railway Station to catch a train to Chongqing. We may book the G1887 train for you, which departs at 17:59 and arrives at 19:33, taking around 1.5 hours.

Chongqing Railway Station - Upon arrival in Chongqing, you will be picked up and transferred to your hotel (driver only, no guide).

Chongqing. O/N Chongqing.

Chongqing - At around 08:30, your tour guide will pick you up from your downtown Chongqing hotel for a 3-hour drive to Wulong County.

Wulong Karst Geological Park - Wulong is known for its unique karst landforms, including stone bridges, caves, pits, sinkholes, and gorges. It gained international fame from the movie Transformers: Age of Extinction, which showcased the Three Natural Bridges. Other attractions include Furong Cave, Longshuixia Gap, and Fairy Mountain.

Wulong Tiankeng Three Bridges - After lunch at a local restaurant, visit the Three Natural Bridges, the main attraction of this world heritage area. These giant stone arch bridges are unique and offer stunning views. During your 2-2.5 hour visit, stop by an ancient staging post near Qinglong Bridge, built during the Tang Dynasty. The well-preserved wooden courtyards have over 20 rooms. After some free time, return to your hotel, arriving around 18:30.

Chongqing - Your guide will escort you back to your Chongqing hotel.

Chongqing - In the morning, your driver and guide will meet you at 9:00am and transfer you to Chongqing city center for a day tour.

People’s Assembly Hall - The first stop is The People’s Hall of Chongqing, a landmark built in 1954 to commemorate China’s resistance war and the establishment of the new government. It is one of the top 10 classic architectures in 20th century Asia.

Stilwell Museum/Former Residence of General Stilwell (Shidiwei Jiangjun Jiuju) - Next, visit the Stilwell Museum, also known as The Flying Tiger Memorial, which was used by the KMT government to accommodate VIPs during the war against Fascism.

Ciqikou (Porcelain Port) - After the museum, enjoy an authentic Chongqing Hot Pot for lunch. In the afternoon, visit Ciqikou old town, known for its ancient chinaware production and local folklore.

E’ling Park - The last stop is Eling Park, the highest scenic location in Chongqing, offering aerial views of the city.

Chongqing - Today, visit Dazu County for a full day of sightseeing. Your guide will meet you at 08:30 in your hotel lobby.

The Dazu Rock Carvings - A world heritage site, the Dazu Rock Carvings include several large scenic areas. Tour the well-preserved Baodingshan Carvings, where Buddhist and Taoist statues from the late Tang Dynasty are scattered across mountain cliffs. Wander at your own pace to appreciate the grotto art.

Chongqing Chaotianmen - Afterward, transfer to Chongqing Chaotianmen pier and check in for your cruise. Board the ship between 18:30 and 21:00, and depart Chongqing at 21:30.

Yichang - Our local driver will meet you at the Three Gorges tourist center and transfer you to Zhangjiajie by car, a 4.5-hour drive covering 378km.

Zhangjiajie National Forest Park - On this full-day tour, your guide will meet you at 9:00am at your hotel in Zhangjiajie city center or Wulingyuan. Visit different mountain areas such as Tianzi Mountain, with the world’s longest cable car ride, and the unique Yuanjiajie Mountain. The park is home to over 500 species of wildlife and vegetation, including rare monkeys and gingko trees. The towering sandstone pillars inspired the scenery in the movie Avatar.

Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area of Zhangjiajie - Wulingyuan Scenic Area is a charming tourist attraction and a World Heritage site. It boasts natural beauty with mountains, valleys, forests, caves, lakes, and waterfalls. The area includes Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Suoxi Valley Nature Reserve, Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve, and Yangjiajie Scenic Area. Today, visit Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve.

Tianzi Mountain - After purchasing park entrance tickets, take a shuttle bus to the Tianzi Mountain cable station and walk up 200 steps to reach the station.

Tianzi Mountain Clouds - After a 20-minute cable car ride, reach the top of Tianzi Mountain and take a shuttle bus to the central area. Enjoy stunning views of the peaks and the Wulingyuan Scenic Area. The mountain offers beautiful scenes in different seasons, including the Sea of Clouds, the Radiance of the Moonlight, Rays of Sunshine, and Snow in winter.

BaiLong Elevator - After visiting Yuanjiajie (Avatar Mountain), take a shuttle to the Bailong Elevator. The elevator is 335 meters high, with 154 meters inside the mountain and 172 meters composed of steel derrick. Each elevator can carry 50 passengers at a speed of 3 m/s (5 m/s since 2013). The three elevators can transport 4,000 passengers per hour.

Golden Whip Brook - Hike for an hour along the Golden Whip Stream, known for its pristine water, verdant mountains, steep cliffs, and serene valley. The stream is named after Golden Whip Crag and runs from Laomo Bay to Shui Rao Si Men.

Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge - Next, visit the Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge, the world’s longest and highest glass bridge, hanging over Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon. The bridge offers a bird’s eye view of the Grand Canyon.

Zhangjiajie - Finally, return to your hotel.

Zhangjiajie - At 9:00am, your guide will meet you at the hotel lobby and transfer you to Zhangjiajie Tianmen Park.

Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park - Spend 3-4 hours at Tianmen Mountain Park, using the cable car or shuttle bus to reach the top, depending on traffic. Tianmen Mountain is the highest spot in Zhangjiajie, offering exciting cliff-paths, glass walkways, and bird’s eye views of the city and countryside. The mountain holds four World Guinness Records and offers a unique experience.

Fenghuang County - After lunch, your guide will escort you to Fenghuang, a 3-hour drive covering 220km. The Phoenix Town, built in 1704, is known for its blue flagstone streets, stilted houses, and Miao nationality customs. Spend the rest of the day exploring the ancient town.

Fenghuang–Sanjiang Chengyang. O/N Chengyang village.

Phoenix Ancient Town - Spend the morning exploring Fenghuang Ancient Town. After breakfast, take a boat along Tuojiang River, the town’s mother river. The clean river flows slowly along the city walls, with water plants swaying in the gentle waves. Mist sometimes rises from the water, creating a fairyland atmosphere. Visit Wanming Pagoda, a hexagonal pagoda with seven layers and copper wind bells. Then, cruise to the Rainbow Bridge for views of the green hills, blue water, city walls, red slates, and stilted houses.

Chengyang Bridge Scenic Resort - After lunch, drive to Sanjiang Chengyang Dong village, a 4-hour drive covering 315km. Tour the village, known for its well-preserved residential houses and natural landscape. Visit the Wind and Rain Bridge and the Drum Tower, landmarks of Dong village. The bridge was built to provide shelter for field workers and later became a popular dating spot. The Drum Tower, located in the village center, serves as the political and cultural hub.

Chengyang–Longji–Guilin. O/N Guilin.

Chengyang Bridge Scenic Resort - Your guide will pick you up at 08:30 and escort you to the Longji terraces, a 90-minute ride covering 100km.

Dragon’s Backbone Rice Terraces - The Longji Rice Terraces stretch from the mountain base to its summit. Constructed by the local Zhuang people since the 13th century, the terraces cover 66 square kilometers and span an altitude between 300 and 1,100 meters. The terraces offer stunning views of the fields and mountains. Visit the Villages of Zhuang to experience unique Chinese ethnic culture.

Reed Flute Cave (Ludi Yan) - Next, visit the Reed Flute Cave in Guilin, known for its stalactites and stalagmites, forming a luminous underground palace with colorful lights.

Elephant Trunk Hill (Xiangbishan) - Continue to Elephant Trunk Hill, a landmark of Guilin. The hill resembles an elephant stretching its trunk into the water, showcasing nature’s creativity.

Guilin - Finally, your guide will escort you to your hotel for free time.

Guilin–Yangshuo. The tour ends.

Guilin - In the morning, your guide and driver will pick you up at 07:45 and escort you to the Zhujiang pier for a Li River cruise to Yangshuo (4-star boat with buffet lunch).

Li River - The cruise departs at 9:20am and takes about 4 hours. Enjoy the stunning karst landscape with rolling hills, verdant forests, odd caves, and tranquil villages along the Li River. A buffet Chinese lunch is provided on board before reaching Yangshuo at 2:00pm.

Xianggong Mountain - After disembarking, visit Xianggong Hill in Yangshuo. Climb a moderately sloped staircase for 15 minutes to reach the top. The hill offers a great viewing platform for the Li River’s 180-degree bend, attracting many visitors and photographers.

Guilin - Finally, your guide will escort you to your hotel in Yangshuo/Guilin or to Guilin airport/train station, ending the 13-day tour.
