Day 1: Delhi to Jaipur

Jaipur - The first day of our Rajasthan bike tour will be the meetup day. Our fellow riders will arrive at Delhi around 12 o’clock, and after that, we will leave for Jaipur by bus. The distance from Delhi to Jaipur is approximately 281 kilometers, typically taking about 5 hours to reach this beautiful city in the heart of Rajasthan. According to our schedule, we will arrive in Jaipur around 6 in the evening, after which we will check into our hotel. Once refreshed, we will gather for dinner, where our Rajasthan tour guide and Road captain will introduce themselves and provide an overview of the entire tour. During this hour-long session, we will also introduce ourselves to all the fellow riders who will be joining us for the next 13 days. After this meetup session, we will bid each other goodnight and head to bed.

Day 2: Jaipur local sightseeing

Jaipur - On the second day, after breakfast, we will set out to explore the city by cabs. Our first stop will be the famous City Palace, built by Sawai Jai Singh II in 1727. This palace is an excellent example of flawless Rajput architecture and holds many untold stories. The Palace is divided into various museums, where one can see clothes, weapons, artifacts, and other antique items used by Rajas and Maharajas during that era. Next, we will visit the famous Hawa Mahal and Johri Bazar, both within walking distance from the City Palace. After covering all the major sightseeing points inside the city, we will head towards the famous Jal Mahal. Located on the outskirts of Jaipur, Jal Mahal can only be viewed from a distance as entry is not permitted. After Jal Mahal, we will proceed to the famous Amer Fort, built by the Meenas (a local tribe) in 967 AD in Amer town near Jaipur.

Jal Mahal - Jal Mahal is a palace situated in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, India. Originally constructed around 1699, the palace and the lake were later renovated and enlarged in the early 18th century by Maharaja Jai Singh II of Amber.

Hawa Mahal - Palace of Wind - The Hawa Mahal is a palace in Jaipur, India. Built from red and pink sandstone, it is located on the edge of the City Palace and extends to the Zenana, or women’s chambers.

Johri Bazaar - Johri Bazaar is a famous market with hundreds of jewelry and handcrafted clothes, furniture, and art shops. It comprises over 400 stores, offering a wide variety of gems and jewelry ranging from low-cost handicrafts to items worth millions.

Day 3: Jaipur to Bikaner

Bikaner - On the third day, after breakfast, we will depart from Jaipur to our next destination, Bikaner. This city is located 330 km from Jaipur and usually takes 5-6 hours by bike. The highway connecting Bikaner to Jaipur is a paradise for bike riders, offering some of the most picturesque views during the Rajasthan bike trip. The roaring engines amidst dry and arid lands, accompanied by the undying spirit of a rider, define this journey. By evening, we will reach Bikaner. As it will be a tiring day, we will check into our hotel, have dinner, and then go to sleep.

Day 4: Bikaner to Jaisalmer

Jaisalmer - On the fourth day, after breakfast, we will visit the famous Karni Mata temple, located 30 km from Bikaner. Also known as the Temple of Rats, it is believed that nearly 25,000 rats reside within the temple boundaries, making it unique in the world. Built in the 20th century by Maharaja Ganga Singh of Bikaner, it is a major tourist attraction in Rajasthan. After exploring the Karni Mata temple, we will head towards Jaisalmer, a 330 km journey that usually takes 4-5 hours. By evening, we will reach Jaisalmer, check into our hotel, have dinner, and then go to sleep.

Day 5: Jaisalmer Local sightseeing

Jaisalmer Fort - Jaisalmer is a western town in Rajasthan, close to the Pakistan border. Known for its Golden Architecture, every house in Jaisalmer is made of yellow sandstone, making the town look like a golden jewel on the crown of Rajasthan, hence called the Golden City. On the fifth day, after breakfast, we will explore Jaisalmer, starting with the famous Jaisalmer Fort. This fort is home to about 5,000 people who reside within its premises, making it unique in Rajasthan.

Day 6: Jaisalmer to Jodhpur

Jodhpur - On the sixth day, after breakfast, we will head back to Jaisalmer city and then leave for Jodhpur. The distance from Jaisalmer to Jodhpur is about 281 kilometers, typically taking 4-5 hours. As this will be a long and hectic bike ride, we will take a few stops along the way to experience the local tea and coffee. By evening, we will reach Jodhpur, check into our hotel, have dinner, and discuss the plan for the next day before going to sleep.

Day 7: Jodhpur sightseeing

Jodhpur - On the seventh day, after breakfast, we will explore Jodhpur. This beautiful town was built in 1469 by Rao Jodha, the head of the Rajput clan. Jodhpur is also known as the Blue City because most houses are painted blue. Our first stop will be the famous Mehrangarh Fort, one of the best-preserved forts in India, known for its colossal and majestic look. This fort is so splendid that Rudyard Kipling once said, “it’s the work of giants.” The fort tour takes around 2-3 hours, featuring some of the best museums in Rajasthan showcasing antique souvenirs of Rajas and Maharajas.

Day 8: Jodhpur to Udaipur

Udaipur - On the eighth day, after breakfast, we will head to Udaipur, the most beautiful town in Rajasthan. This town was the historical capital of the kingdom of Mewar, established by Maharana Udai Singh II of the Sisodia clan of Rajput. Udaipur is also known as the City of Lakes, home to numerous lakes that add extra charm to its beauty. The heritage buildings surrounding Lake Pichola, rooftop restaurants, vintage palaces, and beautiful boat rides give Udaipur the essence of Venice in India, hence also called the Venice of the East. The distance from Jodhpur to Udaipur is about 249 km, typically taking 4-5 hours by bike. After reaching Udaipur, we will check into our hotel, have dinner, and then go to sleep.

Day 9: Udaipur sightseeing

Udaipur - On the ninth day, after breakfast, we will visit the City Palace, located in the center of Udaipur. This palace is home to the erstwhile royal family of Udaipur and is among the most beautiful palaces in Rajasthan. Built by Maharana Udai Singh II, the palace showcases some of the best-preserved antiques and rooms used by the Rajas and Maharajas of Mewar. A short boat ride from the City Palace will take us to Jagmandir, a water palace situated in the middle of Lake Pichola on a centrally located island, known as The Lake Garden Palace.

Day 10: Udaipur to Chittorgarh

Chittorgarh Fort - On the tenth day, after breakfast, we will head to Chittorgarh. The distance from Udaipur to Chittorgarh is about 120 km, typically taking around 3 hours by bike. The highway from Udaipur to Chittorgarh offers stunning views in sync with rustic lands, providing some of the most picturesque scenery. The ride on this day is short and sweet, so we will organize a small session to discuss key memories from our Rajasthan bike trip. After reaching Chittorgarh, we will visit the famous Chittorgarh Fort, one of the largest forts in India and a UNESCO World Heritage site. This is the same fort where hundreds of women committed Jauhar when Akbar besieged it. After exploring the fort, we will head to our hotel, have dinner, and then go to sleep.

Day 11: Chittorgarh to Ranthambore

Ranthambore National Park - On the eleventh day of our Rajasthan bike trip, we will head to Ranthambore. The distance from Chittorgarh to Ranthambore is around 297 km, typically taking 5-6 hours by bike. The stark contrast of nature along the Chittorgarh-Ranthambore highway will leave you in awe. As it will be a long and tiring journey, we will take a small break on the highway for some tea or coffee, as per the riders’ preference, before continuing our journey to Ranthambore. After reaching Ranthambore, we will check into our hotel, have dinner, and then go to sleep.

Day 12: Ranthambore to Jaipur

Jaipur - On the twelfth day of our Rajasthan bike tour, after breakfast, we will visit the famous Ranthambore National Park. Located in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan, at the junction of the Aravalli and Vindhya hill ranges, this national park is home to various animals such as tigers, leopards, crocodiles, and other indigenous species. Once a hunting ground for the rulers of Mewar and Rajasthan, Ranthambore National Park was declared a national park in 1981. It is a haven for photographers and wildlife enthusiasts. After reaching the park, we will go on a jeep safari in search of tigers, crocodiles, and leopards.

Day 13: Jaipur to Delhi

Jaipur - On the thirteenth and final day of our Rajasthan bike tour, after breakfast, we will leave for Jaipur. The distance from Jaipur to Delhi is about 281 km, typically taking around 5-6 hours by bus, as we will leave our bikes in Jaipur. After reaching Delhi, we will have a small meetup session to discuss the key highlights of our trip, share your experiences, and gather feedback for future expeditions.
