Kathmandu - Welcome! Upon your arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, our team will be waiting for you at the exit gate to escort you to your hotel. Take some time to rest and relax, and perhaps enjoy a short stroll around the hotel vicinity.

In the evening, our guide will visit you at the hotel to provide a briefing about the upcoming tour. Following the briefing, we’ll gather for a warm welcome dinner at one of Kathmandu’s esteemed restaurants.

Please ensure to retire early tonight as we have an early morning flight to Lukla scheduled for the next day.

Fly to Lukla, trek to Phakding

Phakding - Today marks the beginning of the exhilarating journey towards Everest Base Camp. We’ll kick off the day early, heading to Kathmandu airport for a flight to Lukla. During peak trekking seasons like spring and autumn, we may need to take a flight from Ramechhap to reach Lukla.

If necessary, we’ll travel to Ramechhap airport via private vehicle, enjoying a comfortable 4-hour drive before catching our flight to Lukla.

Upon arrival in Lukla, we’ll fuel up with breakfast before embarking on our trek straight to Phakding. Along the way, we’ll pass through the village of Cheplung and continue on to Ghat. After an hour or two of hiking, we’ll reach Phakding, where we’ll spend the night.

Trek to Namche Bazaar

Namche Bazaar - After enjoying breakfast, we’ll begin our trek alongside the picturesque Dudh Koshi River, making our way towards the village of Benkar. Crossing a suspension bridge, we’ll traverse a rocky gorge and eventually arrive at Jorsalle.

Continuing beyond Jorsalle, we’ll enter the Sagarmatha National Park in Khumbu, where we’ll catch our first glimpse of Mount Everest. From there, we’ll follow a less steep slope as we ascend to Namche Bazaar.

In Namche Bazaar, we’ll settle in at one of the cozy lodges for the night and indulge in a hearty dinner.

Rest and acclimatisation day in Namche Bazaar

Everest View Point - Today’s agenda includes immersing ourselves in the vibrant atmosphere of Namche’s bustling market, perfect for capturing memorable photos. Following breakfast, we’ll embark on a hike to the renowned Everest View Hotel, situated at the highest elevation.

From this vantage point, we’ll be treated to awe-inspiring views of the majestic Mount Everest, as well as other prominent peaks like Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and Nuptse, among others.

For those interested, we have the option to explore the Sagarmatha National Park museum, delving into the rich history and culture of the Sherpa people.

In the evening, we’ll return to Namche Bazaar for dinner and spend the night at a cozy lodge, reflecting on the day’s adventures.

Trek to Tengboche or Debuche

Tengboche - Following a nourishing breakfast, we’ll bid farewell to Namche Bazaar and begin our ascent, hiking uphill for a while. Along the way, we’ll cross a small bridge over the Imja Khola and reach Phungithanga, a picturesque Sherpa village adorned with colorful prayer wheels.

After a brief rest, we’ll continue our ascent along a winding path, passing through dense rhododendron forests. Eventually, we’ll emerge onto the flat terrain surrounding Tengboche monastery.

From the monastery grounds, we’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views of Mount Everest, as well as other prominent peaks including Nuptse, Lhotse, Thamserku, and Ama Dablam, creating a truly unforgettable experience.

Trek to Dingboche

Dingboche - Today’s journey takes us through the enchanting trail winding through rhododendron forests. Departing from Tengboche, we’ll descend towards Deboche village, crossing rope bridges and ascending to Pangboche, adorned with Tibetan-inscribed Mani walls.

Continuing our ascent, we’ll reach the ancient village of Dingboche, where stunning vistas of Lhotse, Island Peak, and Ama Dablam await us. We’ll spend the night and enjoy meals at a cozy lodge in this traditional village, immersing ourselves in its unique charm and tranquility.

Rest and acclimatization day in Dingboche

Dingboche - Today is dedicated to acclimatization, allowing our bodies to adjust to the altitude. We’ll take a leisurely rest for most of the day before embarking on a steep climb towards Nangkartshang Hill. This vantage point offers breathtaking views, with the majestic Makalu and Amphu Laptse peaks providing a stunning backdrop for memorable photos.

Upon descending, we’ll take a brief tour of the Nangkartshang monastery, adding a cultural dimension to our day of relaxation.

In the evening, we’ll return to the lodge for a hearty dinner and settle in for the night, rejuvenated and ready for the next leg of our journey.

Trek to Lobuche

Lobuche - Today’s trek promises captivating scenery as we traverse along a picturesque route offering impressive views of the Khumbu valleys and Cholatse Peak. Beginning with a short downhill stretch followed by an uphill climb, we’ll soon reach the village of Dughla.

Continuing along our trail, we’ll pass through the Thukla Pass, marked by memorials honoring deceased climbers, a poignant reminder of the challenges of the mountains.

Our journey will then lead us along a rocky, narrow trail until we reach our overnight destination of Lobuche. Here, amidst the rugged terrain, we’ll settle in for the night, reflecting on the day’s adventures.

Trek to Gorakshep, hike to Everest Base Camp, return to Gorakshep

Everest Base Camp - Today marks the most spectacular stage of our Everest Base Camp trek, and we’ll start our day at dawn to make the most of it. Departing from Lobuche, we’ll head north, passing the southern flank of Lhotse. Our journey will take us across numerous glacial sections, gradually leading us to the icy desert of Gorakshep.

After reaching Gorakshep, we’ll enjoy some breakfast before continuing our hike towards the base camp of Mount Everest. Here, we’ll be treated to outstanding views of the Khumbu Icefall, as well as majestic peaks such as Nuptse, Pumori, and Khumbutse.

Capturing memories through photographs and videos for social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram, we’ll then make our way back to Gorakshep. We’ll find shelter at one of the rustic mountain lodges, retiring early to rest up for another adventurous day ahead.

Hike to Kalapatthar, descend to Pangboche

Pangboche - Today, we embark on the ascent of the imposing black rock wall known as Kala Patthar. Setting off early in the morning, we’ll illuminate our path with headlamps as we make our way towards the summit. The climb typically takes around 2 to 3 hours, culminating in breathtaking views of the sunrise over Everest.

From the vantage point of Kala Patthar, we’ll marvel at the illuminated peaks of Nuptse, Pumori, and Ama Dablam, painted in the warm hues of the morning sun. After soaking in the awe-inspiring scenery, we’ll begin our descent back to the base camp.

Upon reaching the base camp, we’ll enjoy a hot and delicious meal, replenishing our energy stores. Following a well-deserved rest, we’ll continue our descent to Pangboche, where we’ll find comfort and solace for our tired legs, retiring for the night amidst the tranquility of the village.

Trek to Namche Bazaar

Namche Bazaar - As we begin our descent, the trail ahead promises to be much easier, with mostly downhill hikes ahead. Despite the exhaustion of our trekking journey, the rewards have been plentiful.

We’ll traverse familiar paths through dense forests of conifers and rhododendrons, passing through villages such as Dingboche and Tengboche as we make our way back to Namche.

Tonight, we’ll have one more opportunity to enjoy the delightful company of the hospitable Sherpa people of Namche as we spend our final night in this charming village.

Trek to Lukla, end of the trek

Lukla - Crossing the swift currents of the Bhote Koshi and Dudh Koshi rivers, we’ll descend to the village of Phakding, where we’ll take a well-deserved break for lunch. Continuing along the familiar path, reminiscing about the wonderful moments of our expedition, we’ll find ourselves back in Lukla before we know it.

After unloading our backpacks at the lodge, we’ll take some time to explore the village and perhaps purchase some souvenirs to commemorate this remarkable trek.

Excellent and Amazing EBC Trek Experience!!! - We thoroughly enjoyed our trek to the Everest Base Camp with Ambition Himalayas Treks & Expeditions! The company owner, Shishir, was very helpful and responsive when we were looking at tour packages. He recommended that we also include a porter and it was the best decision we made. We also couldn’t have asked for a better guide for our trek. Ghaman was so attentive, professional, patient and organized. He really helped us out with everything, from advising us on what clothes to wear the next day, how much water to carry, patiently taking all the breaks I needed going uphill, offering us fruit post dinner every night, setting us up with hot showers in Namche Bazar, helping us get laundry done in Dingboche, making sure we left early on our EBC day so we arrived at the EBC rock before all the crowds, advising us on the best foods to eat as the elevation increased, measuring our oxygen levels, and consistently asking us if we slept well or had headaches to determine if we were experiencing altitude sickness. I’ll be forever grateful to Ghaman for carrying my backpack the day after we reached EBC. I had very low energy and nausea and he kindly carried it from Gorakshep to Pangboche. What a lifesaver! We also enjoyed all the conversations we had along the way and everything he taught us about the Himalayas and Nepalese culture. While Ghaman interfaced with us everyday, our porter Santa did the arduous work of carrying our duffle bag for the duration of our trek. He always made sure our bag was placed in our room before we arrived at the tea houses. It was a pleasure interacting with him and we hope that he will also become a guide one day. Once we arrived back in Kathmandu, Ambition Himalayas Treks and Expeditions treated us to a traditional Nepalese dinner. Overall, I would describe our experience as excellent and amazing!!! A++++

EBC + Cho La pass trek - I have been recently doing the EBC + Cho La pass trek including some viewpoints/peaks that we planned before travelling to Nepal by email with Shirshir (Ambition himalaya) and I only can thank to them for all the support provided during our stay in Nepal (kathmandu + trek). Many thanks for all the flexibility provided not only at the time of planing the trek, but also while we were on the route, to modify the plan, route or whatever it was required at the time being. I would like to also thank Rajendra, our guide during the trek, for being that helpfull, managing the flights (very important having in mind planes do not fly when sky it's cloudy/windy around lukla), booking guesthouses and with daily positive attitude. It is well seen all his knowledge of the region and experience as a guide during more than 10 years. Finally, thanks also the porters who did their job and even if we could not talk a lot due the language we managed to learn some words in their languaje. Kē cha bhā'i!!! Ṭhīk cha!!! Honesly all of you did a great job and have been not only guide and porters, but also friends during our great experience on the himalaya mountains that we will never forget!!! Great experience for which I recomend this company and team!

Great Experience with Ambition Himalaya during Trek - My friend and I booked 16 days tour with Ambition Himalaya last year and completed Gokyo Ri and EBC trek in April 2024. Shishir Ambition Himalaya Trek operator was very helpful from the day we booked for the trip in planning and organizing the trip to have successful completion. They have provided good accommodation throughout the trekking period in Kathmandu and in Tea houses during trek. Provided very good quality food during the entire trek period including daily fruits after dinner. They have routine health checkup each day after dinner time and our guide Suman was very great in explaining things during trek and all time is along with us. I would certainly recommend everyone to choose Ambition Himalaya to make your trip easier and super smooth trekking in Nepal. I would give 10/10.

Wonderful experience - Extraordinary experience that we will not forget. We enjoyed the trek that, although long and hard due to the altitude, is fully rewarded by the landscapes, valleys and mountains, of the Himalayas. We saw lots of snow-capped peaks, over 6000m, including 3 peaks of 8000m. Ambition's organization and kindness were impeccable, from the first day to the last. We had a guide, Ghaman, of high level and experience, always attentive and aware of us and our experience. Thank you Ambition for this wonderful adventure!!
