On this traditional journey into the region of Everest, we kick off with an incredible mountain flight to Lukla, followed by an ongoing trek along the Dudh Kosi, known as the ‘Milk River’. Passing through Namche Bazar, the ‘Sherpa headquarters’, we deviate from the main Everest trail to visit the Everest view hotel and proceed to the picturesque Sherpa village of Khumjung. We rest in Khumjung for a night before embarking on a slightly extended trek to Dole (a 6-hour walk) the following day after breakfast. This brings us into the comparatively tranquil Gokyo valley. The subsequent day consists of a gradual hike to Machhermo (4,470m) where we acclimate by hiking in the surrounding hills. This precedes our visit to Gokyo Lake and the ascent of Gokyo Peak (5,360m).Upon successfully summiting Gokyo Peak, we journey through Ranjo La Pass (5,340m), which offers awe-inspiring panoramic views of the highest peaks in the world.
