Transfer to Akagera National Park from Kigali
Kigali - This morning, after breakfast, we will depart for Akagera National Park. Your driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel and will either drop you back at the hotel or at the airport at the end of the trip, based on your preference.
The drive to Akagera National Park takes approximately 2.5 hours, depending on the number of stopovers along the way. Enjoy the scenic landscapes en route and feel free to ask the guide for photo stops. Upon arrival at the park, we will have a short game drive before checking into our accommodation. Lunch will be ordered, followed by a boat trip on Lake Ihema to observe hippos and crocodiles in the water or along the shores. Dinner will be served at your hotel.

Game Drive in Akagera National Park
Akagera National Park - We will start early, leaving right after breakfast for a game drive in Akagera National Park. We will be on the lookout for large mammals such as elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, various antelope species, and the recently reintroduced lions and rhinos. The park offers diverse habitats for wildlife and is a birdwatcher’s paradise with over 500 bird species.
You will depart the lodge with a packed lunch for the game drive, which will last about 6 hours depending on your interests, before beginning the journey back to Kigali. The route along the lake often features a variety of animals.
