Paris - 07:30 Pick up and departure from your hotel in Paris. We will drive 180 km on the highway in our comfortable, air-conditioned Mercedes minivan to reach the first stop, Chambord Castle. The journey takes about 2.5 hours, including a stop at a rest area. The guide will provide you with general information about French history related to the Loire Valley castles.

Chateau de Chambord - 10:00 - 12:00 Visit Chateau de Chambord. The guide will share the history and construction details of the castle. The Château de Chambord is renowned for its French Renaissance architecture. Built between 1519 and 1547 by Francis I, it is the largest castle with 440 rooms, 282 fireplaces, and 84 staircases. The castle is also famous for its open double-spiral staircase, which ascends three floors without the two spirals ever meeting. Leonardo da Vinci may have designed this staircase. 11:45 Departure to Amboise city, a 1-hour drive (60 km).

Amboise - 13:00 - 14:00 Lunch in Amboise, where you’ll find many restaurants and cafes. We can recommend or reserve a table at a good restaurant for you.

Chateau Royal d’Amboise - 14:00 to 15:30 Skip-the-line access with a guide to the Royal Chateau d’Amboise, with a Histopad explaining the history of the castle and each room. Amboise is a grand 15th-century residence of King Charles VIII and an example of the transition from Gothic to Renaissance architecture. Learn about the castle’s history, known for the birth of princes, the reign of kings, and the death of the great Renaissance master, Leonardo Da Vinci, whose grave you can see in the chapel. 15:00 Departure to Chenonceau Castle, a 20-minute drive.

Chateau de Chenonceau - 16:00 to 17:30 Skip-the-line access to Chateau Chenonceau and its gardens. The guide will share the history and construction details of the castle, and you will receive a brochure with explanations of each room. Nicknamed the “ladies’ castle,” Chenonceau is notable for its association with famous French women like Catherine de Medici and its stunning architecture, including unique arches over the River Cher. The Renaissance-style gardens, with over 130,000 flowering plants, are also impressive. Note: In the low season, we depart at 5:10 pm, and in the high season, at 5:30 pm due to the castle’s opening hours. 17:30 Departure from Chenonceau Castle to Angers, a 2.5-hour drive (240 km).
